Cast Members and Characters Who Are Returning in ‘Invincible’ Season 4

Season 4 will bring back many of the actors and characters fans already know and love. Steven Yeun will reprise his role as Mark, who underwent a significant change at the end of Season 3. He firmly stated he’d kill anyone who endangered his family – a surprising turn, especially considering the entire season focused on whether taking a life could ever be justified. Mark was deeply worried about becoming like his father, making this new resolve a shocking development.

Gillian Jacobs returns as Atom Eve (Samantha Eve Wilkins), and despite a near-fatal experience in the Season 3 finale, her incredible power allows her to recover. J.K. Simmons is back as Omni-Man, and this season, he’s working with Allen the Alien (voiced by Seth Rogen) and the Coalition of Planets to fight the Viltrumite Empire. Christian Convery returns as Kid Omni-Man, Mark’s half-brother, who begins developing his own powers. Sandra Oh voices Debbie Grayson, Mark’s mother, who starts a new relationship and takes Oliver under her wing this season.

The season 3 finale has a few big surprises! Conquest, voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is still alive, and Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins) is secretly holding him captive. Meanwhile, Clancy Brown returns as Damien Darkblood, who’s planning to bring back The Great Beast (Bruce Campbell) from Hell—and he needs a powerful human to help him do it. Plus, Battle Beast (Michael Dorn) is back and will fight alongside the Coalition of Planets in the upcoming war against the Viltrumites.

New Voices and Characters in ‘Invincible’ Season 4

The next installment of Invincible will feature a fantastic lineup of new characters, brought to life by top voice actors. We’ll finally hear the voice of Thragg, the incredibly powerful and frightening leader of the Viltrumite Empire. Season 4 will also introduce Space Racer, a famous space traveler who vanished after a meeting with Omni-Man long ago, and Universa, a strong and mysterious galactic warrior who’s sure to cause some problems.

Mark will face a dangerous enemy in Dinosaurus, also known as Dr. David Anders. This brilliant scientist is an ecoterrorist with the ability to transform into a massive red dinosaur, and he believes reducing the human population is necessary for the planet’s survival. Tech Jacket, previously an animated character in Season 3, is expected to reappear in Season 4, potentially with a different gender than in the original comics.

Here are the incredible voices behind these new characters in Season 4:

  • Lee Pace as Thragg
  • Winston Duke as Space Racer
  • Danai Gurira (who worked with Kirkman on The Walking Dead) as Universa
  • Matthew Rhys as David Anders/Dinosaurus
  • Zoey Deutch (reportedly) as Tech Jacket

Season 4 will introduce a new character, Volcanikka, a powerful warrior made of magma and rock who leads the Magmanites. She’ll be a villain, though not the main one, and we don’t yet know who will voice her. We might also see Captain Pikell, a character from the Coalition of Planets, this season. He’s inspired by Patrick Stewart’s Captain Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek, so it’s unclear if he’ll look the same or get a new design. Only time—and plenty of action—will reveal what happens next.
