Timothy Lamb, the Lead Creative Producer for Starfield, is asking players who have been enjoying the game since its release to keep their expectations realistic about the features coming in the next Free Lanes update.
Recent news about the game has excited many players, but one developer, Lamb, doesn’t think the changes are as massive as those seen with Cyberpunk 2077. According to WCCF Tech, Lamb admits the game is much closer to being finished now, but strongly disagrees with the idea that it’s basically a second version of Starfield.
I disagree with that idea. Simply labeling it a certain way implies a specific story we don’t want to create. We examined several systems based on community interest and worked to improve them. Many systems have been gradually enhanced, and we’ve added a lot of new content. This is the definitive version of Starfield.
We definitely agree! Starfield was a strong showing of Bethesda Game Studios’ skills when it launched, and it’s only improved with added content. Unlike the troubled release of Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield had fewer issues to begin with, and the latest update and downloadable content will make it even better for both longtime fans and new players on PS5.
Whether you’re eagerly anticipating it or just curious, April 7th is a significant date for Starfield fans. It’s an opportunity to begin a journey that promises to be memorable long after you finish the game.
