Jordan Wright, Ex on the Beach Star, Found Dead at 33

The world of reality TV has said goodbye to one of their own. 

Jordan Wright, who appeared on reality shows like Ex on the Beach and The Only Way Is Essex, has died in Thailand, according to a representative for TOWIE. He was 33 years old.

A representative for the ITV show TOWIE released a statement expressing the show’s heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Jordan Wright following his passing.

Wright’s cause of death has yet to be released as investigators await autopsy results. 

Police say the body of a British man was discovered in still water near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket around 12:30 p.m. on March 14th. According to the Daily Mail, the location was approximately 20 minutes from the man’s hotel.

Police identified the guest as Jordan Wright, a citizen of the United Kingdom, who the hotel hadn’t been able to reach. According to Choeng Thale district police chief Sutthirak Chuthong, the room showed no signs of a break-in or anything unusual.

He explained that the hotel records indicated the man checked in by himself and was scheduled to leave on March 13th, but employees said he never actually left.

According to CCTV footage, Wright seemed agitated and paced back and forth near the hotel before he left. His movements ultimately led him to the place where his body was found, the police chief explained.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Suthirak Chuthong told the Daily Mail that investigators think Wright had been dead for only a couple of days when his body was discovered. He added that the investigation is ongoing while they await the official autopsy report.

Lately, Wright had been sharing glimpses of his life on Instagram, posting about his workouts, motorcycle trips, and travels, even up until shortly before his death.

He last posted on March 6th, sharing a series of photos from Thailand with the simple caption, “I’m Home.”
