In 2024 and 2025, Solo Leveling quickly became one of the most popular anime series, releasing two new seasons each winter. The story was already well-loved around the world thanks to the original web novel by Chugong and its manhwa adaptation. But the anime, produced by A-1 Pictures, took its popularity to the next level, becoming a global hit. Although the web novel and manhwa have finished their stories, the anime has only covered the Jeju Island Arc, leaving a lot of the plot still to be adapted. The story is set to become even more exciting as it delves into the world’s biggest secrets. However, it’s been a year since the second season ended, and there haven’t been any announcements about a third season yet.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Jinwoo’s story, and now they have a sneak peek at new looks for three beloved characters! On March 18, 2026, the official social media account for a Solo Leveling pop-up shop at the Bushiroad store in Tokyo revealed artwork of Jinwoo, Chaein, and Jinchul dressed in formal wear. Bushiroad has announced a new event dedicated to Solo Leveling, with more details coming soon. The event will feature exclusive merchandise showcasing newly illustrated images of the characters in tuxedos and party dresses.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Delay Continues Even After a Year

The second season of Solo Leveling finished in March 2025, and the studio hasn’t announced a third season yet. However, given how popular the show is, many fans believe it will return, though it might take a while. There’s also been talk of a movie being made before the next season, but A-1 Pictures hasn’t officially confirmed anything. These rumors started in November when a post on social media gained a lot of attention, with many influential accounts and news sources sharing the news despite limited details.
Although a new anime season isn’t likely this year, fans might get some news in 2026. The current season concludes the popular Jeju Island Arc, featuring an epic battle between Jinwoo and the Ant King. Jinwoo bravely handled a dangerous situation, single-handedly resolving a major threat to the world. This was the first time a global audience saw his incredible power as a fully recognized S-Rank Hunter.
Jinwoo is currently the most powerful Hunter in Korea, but there are many even stronger beings out there he hasn’t faced yet. He’s finally succeeded in curing his mother’s Eternal Slumber, a condition that affected many powerless people after mysterious Gates appeared a decade ago. Now, the story is about to shift dramatically, revealing the secrets of the world and a past war that altered everything.
