Crimson Desert Dev to Patch PS5 RPG’s ‘Uncomfortable’ Controls

There’s a lot to love about PS5 RPG Crimson Desert, but its control scheme is not one of them.

As a big Rockstar fan, I was really disappointed with this game. It seems to have taken all the frustrating parts of their previous titles and somehow made them even more annoying and overly complex. It’s just a pain to play!

Pearl Abyss announced on X (formerly Twitter) that they’ve heard player feedback and are working on a game update to address it.

A spokesperson wrote:

We’ve been carefully reviewing your feedback since the game launched and working hard to make it better. We know many of you have had trouble with the controls, so we’re creating a patch to fix those issues. We also want to apologize that keyboard and mouse users haven’t had a great experience so far.

The studio said they’re listening carefully to player feedback and are working hard to make the game better as soon as they can.

So, I got to play Crimson Desert, and honestly, it’s a little weird. The controls feel really different than what I’m used to, and right now, it doesn’t really feel like there’s much of a story. I’m working on a full review now, so I’ll have more detailed thoughts up soon!
