The popular 2019 horror comedy, Ready or Not, is getting a sequel! Ready or Not 2: Here I Come continues the terrifying story of Grace MacCaullay (Samara Weaving), who now finds herself hunted not by just one wealthy and dangerous family, but by representatives from four – all competing for global power. To make matters worse, Grace’s estranged sister, Faith (Kathryn Newton), arrives at the hospital as her emergency contact. Initially doubtful of Grace’s unbelievable story, Faith quickly discovers that everything Grace experienced the night before was horrifyingly real.
How does the main character eliminate her opponents in this installment? Is this the method used throughout the entire sequel? Let’s find out.
Spoilers for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come follow.
10) Chester Danforth (David Cronenberg)

Grace MacCaullay’s victory over the Le Domas family has shaken things up completely. For years, a single person controlled every major event, even wars, and that person was Chester Danforth, a character created by horror filmmaker David Cronenberg. Grace’s survival has changed all of that.
The situation is uncertain, with power potentially shifting to the Danforths or other rival supernatural families. Everything depends on how events unfold. Knowing he’s too old to pursue Grace himself, Chester decides he must step aside. He asks his children, Ursula and Titus, to end his life by suffocating him with a pillow. While it’s a fatal act, it’s done at his own request, making it less of a violent attack.
9) Bill Wilkinson (Kevin Durand)

Bill Wilkinson believes he can win by avoiding the game altogether. Instead, he heads to the hospital, where Grace is recovering and also under police scrutiny.
He finally gained the advantage over Grace and Faith, but before he could finish them off, he unexpectedly exploded. This broke the rules of the supernatural game, angering Mr. Le Bail, the cult’s ghostly and demonic leader. While it’s a violent way to go, Bill’s death isn’t particularly tragic—he was heavily intoxicated and didn’t even realize what was happening, experiencing only a fleeting moment of pain.
8) Wan Chen Xing (Olivia Cheng) & Wan Cheng Fu (Antony Hall)

Wan Chen Xing’s lawyers have carefully reviewed the rules of this twisted game and discovered a loophole. If Grace marries her son, Wan Cheng Fu, the game ends and their family would gain control. While Grace wouldn’t personally rule the world, her life would be spared.
Grace refuses to join a devil cult, even if it means facing dire consequences. Soon after, Néstor Carbonell’s character, Ignacio, arrives and begins a clumsy attack, leading to a fight between Grace and Xing. Ignacio ends up dying in the scuffle, which creates a major problem for the Wan family. A strict rule dictates that if one family member kills another from a rival family – even by accident – the offending family is eliminated. One person sees this coming, while the other is completely oblivious, engrossed in a video game. As with other deaths in this series, it’s explosive and bloody, but happens so fast it’s not overly graphic.
7) Detective Bassett (Grant Nickalls)

When Bill Wilkinson attacks the hospital, he fails to kill Grace, but he does fatally wound the police officer who arrogantly accuses her of murdering the entire Le Domas family. However, the officer never gets to pursue the investigation – a throwing knife prevents that.
6) Kip Danforth, Felipe El Caído, & Numerous Unnamed Satanic Wedding Attendees

Madhu Rajan (played by Varun Saranga) believes he’s avoided the same destiny as his brother – we’ll explain that shortly. Because he isn’t the leader of his family, he assumes he won’t be affected by whatever is happening. However, he is affected, just like every other member of the cult.
In short, Grace saves her sister from the clutches of Titus Danforth by surprisingly proposing to him. The scene then shifts to a bizarre wedding ceremony where everyone is robed and preparing to sacrifice a goat. After Grace and her sister handle Titus, the entire cult rushes to a pit, desperately trying to claim a powerful ring. However, they’re too busy fighting amongst themselves to successfully put it on before sunrise, resulting in the complete and utter disappearance of the entire group.
5) Ursula Danforth (Sarah Michelle Gellar)

Many characters in stories have been killed by having their necks broken, and the character Ursula Danforth, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, suffers the same fate.
This situation is especially harsh because Grace’s brother, Titus, is a sociopath. Ursula tries to warn Grace before the wedding, explaining that they’ll have a difficult time managing Titus’s problematic behavior. Titus interrupts them, declaring that no one can control him. He then violently grabs Ursula, briefly choking her while ranting, before suddenly becoming enraged.
4) Ignacio El Caído (Nestor Carbonell)

As noted in the Wan Chen Xing story, she unintentionally kills Nestor. This happens while she’s fighting with Grace, and she does so by accidentally stabbing him in the throat with a sword.
Ignacio dies in roughly thirty seconds, a horrifying scene witnessed by his children on live television. It was a deeply traumatic event for the entire El Caído family, and he clearly suffered greatly before the end, likely going into shock.
3) Francesca El Caído (Maia Jae)

Francesca El Caído is the only person who truly hates Grace. While others tend to dismiss Grace and her sister as if they aren’t fully human, Francesca sees Grace as the woman who ruined her marriage.
Following her father’s death, Francesca, still in a wedding dress, confronts Grace. Their fight begins with Grace using pepper spray, which Francesca quickly turns back on her, blinding them both. They stumble around blindly, crashing into tables and gifts set up for a different wedding being held at the estate. The fight is lengthy, but both women survive. Later, Grace attempts to rescue her sister from Titus and arms herself with a shotgun. Before she can reach the building, she encounters Francesca again, who rushes at her and is shot twice in the stomach and finally in the face with the shotgun.
2) Titus Danforth (Shawn Hatosy)

In this family, players who want to participate in hide-and-seek must sign their name in a special way. They use a pen that has a normal writing tip on one side and a blade on the other, and they mark their signature with a drop of their own blood.
Immediately after their wedding, Grace murders her new husband, Titus. This cult doesn’t prohibit killing family members. She repeatedly stabs him in the throat, and then Faith kicks his body into a sacrificial pit filled with animal remains. The scene is reminiscent of Sam Carpenter stabbing Richie Kirsch in the movie Scream.
1) Viraj Rajan (Nadeem Umar-Khitab)

Three members of the Rajan family are playing hide and seek this round. Viraj, the older brother, is participating, but his younger brother, Madhu, got scared and asked his wife, Martina, to take his place.
Okay, so I’m still reeling from how Madhu ended up giving all his family’s money to his wife, only for her to just ditch him and drive off! But the worst part? His brother’s death was absolutely horrifying. He was forced into some kind of industrial machine, and honestly, the way they showed his body… it reminded me of a Final Destination movie. It was easily the most brutal death in the whole thing, you could really feel how much he suffered. It was just awful.
