The year 2026 began with the highly anticipated first part of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, picking up after the intense events of the Shibuya Incident and leading into the Culling Game. Following a flashback arc focusing on Satoru Gojo in Season 2, the anime depicts the fierce battle that took place in Shibuya. Season 2 premiered in July 2023 and is currently available on Crunchyroll. While some Asian countries can stream it on Netflix, it hasn’t been widely available, including in the U.S. However, according to What’s on Netflix, Season 2 will finally become available on Netflix in April.
Although the official release date isn’t known, a hint about Season 2 appeared in the ‘Worth the Wait’ section of Netflix’s ‘New & Popular’ page. Similar to Season 2, the first part of Season 3 isn’t currently available for streaming and could remain unavailable for quite some time. Season 3 Part 1 is finishing up this week, meaning the rest of the ‘Culling Game Arc’ storyline will be covered in Part 2.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Changes Everything Fans Know About The Story

The first five episodes of the Culling Game Arc cover the story of Gojo’s high school days, adapting content from the manga’s ‘Hidden Inventory/Premature Death’ arc. This storyline explains events hinted at in the prequel movie and reveals why Gojo opposed Suguru Geto.
The narrative swiftly progresses to the intense Shibuya Incident Arc, where Kenjaku carries out a ruthless plan. He captures Satoru Gojo and unleashes widespread destruction in Shibuya, aided by powerful curses like Choso. The story has been dramatically altered since then, with the situation continually worsening for sorcerers, particularly after they are forced into the deadly Culling Game – a brutal, high-stakes battle royale.
Jujutsu Kaisen Will Get a Major Season 3 Update in June 2026

The first part of Season 3 ends with Episode 12 on March 26, 2026. This season has been building up to the Culling Game – a long and thrilling story arc packed with action and surprises. While the first part introduced characters, explained the rules, and showed some early battles, the second part will really kick things into high gear as we see some of the series’ strongest characters enter the fight.
Yuta Okkotsu, currently the most powerful sorcerer in battle, is about to showcase his full potential against the incarnated sorcerers. News about the second part of the story should come after the first part concludes. Also, MAPPA, the animation studio, is celebrating its 15th anniversary in June and has launched a website to share major updates on series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. We’re likely to learn more about the second part of the Culling Game during the anniversary celebration.
