With its anime-inspired look, Peni Parker seemed like a natural fit for the upcoming fighting game, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, on PlayStation 5 and PC.
This confirms she’s joining the Amazing Guardians, alongside previously revealed characters like Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, and Star-Lord.

The new trailer showcases the protagonist and her robotic companion, a fast and powerful walker that dominates much of the footage. She appears to be a dynamic and exciting character to play.
Writing on the PS Blog, producer Takeshi Yamanaka said of the addition:
Peni Parker is one of the new characters joining the fight. She’s a bright, somewhat quirky Japanese-American student who pilots SP//dr, a powerful robotic suit built by her father. As the spider-hero of another universe, Peni battles in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, using a variety of gadgets and tools to quickly adapt her tactics.
Also confirmed is a new stage, Middle of Knowhere, taken from the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Players will be able to try out Peni and the new stage at EVO Japan in early May, giving us a first look at gameplay soon.
The trailer starts with an animated cutscene that may show us what to expect from the game’s story mode when it comes out on August 6th.
So, I was reading up on the game, and apparently that character we see briefly in the cutscene is a big deal. They’re this intergalactic MC, basically a master of ceremonies for the whole galaxy, and her name is Xirena Awhina – though everyone calls her the Promoter.
The Promoter told our heroes about a crucial tournament with the future of Earth hanging in the balance.

So far, 12 characters have been revealed for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and the game will eventually have 20. Who else are you hoping gets added to the roster?
