Following the huge success of his previous show, Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd is returning with a new series called Half Man. The release date has now been announced, two years after Baby Reindeer captivated audiences.
This six-episode series, a collaboration between the BBC and HBO, will premiere on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Friday, April 24th. New episodes will be released every Friday at the same time.
New episodes will also be shown on BBC One and BBC Scotland within a week of being available on iPlayer, though the specific broadcast times are still to be announced.
US viewers can start watching the series on HBO and HBO Max beginning April 23rd at 9pm Eastern and Pacific time.
The series, created by and starring Richard Gadd, was filmed in and around Glasgow last year. Jamie Bell co-stars as Niall, with Gadd playing the character of Ruben.
Thirty years after their school days, Ruben unexpectedly appears at Niall’s wedding, and he’s clearly not himself – anxious and secretive. This sets off a chain of violent events that unravels their shared history, taking us from the 1980s to the present day.

The series will feature a talented cast including Mitchell Robertson, Stuart Campbell, Neve McIntosh, Marianne McIvor, Charlie De Melo, Bilal Hasna, Julie Cullen, Amy Manson, and Anjli Mohindra, as well as other skilled actors.
Half Man will arrive on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Friday 24 April 2026.
