Bunnie Xo is stripping down the reality of her recovery.
About a week after having a facelift, the author of Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic shared what she’s been experiencing as she recovers.
Let me tell you, by day six of being down, things can get real. I was sharing a little about my own recovery recently, and it honestly boiled down to this: major cabin fever, having binged all the early 2000s classics, struggling just to walk across the room without getting completely winded, practically living in my recliner, and feeling this intense pressure, like someone was squeezing me from ear to ear. It’s a tough phase, but totally normal!
He explained, “People say the worst of it is over by day 7, but that’s still tomorrow, and at this point, I’ve completely lost hope.”
In a recent video, Bunnie, who married country singer Jelly Roll in 2016, displayed bruises under her eyes. Despite this, she playfully danced around her kitchen while her friends tried to calm her down.
On social media, Alissa DeFord, the host of the Dumb Blonde podcast, shared her distress, writing, “I know, I did this to myself but wow.”
Bunnie has openly discussed her cosmetic surgeries, like a breast augmentation, nose job, and fillers. She recently explained her reasons for having more procedures done.
She explained on Instagram on March 18th that a major reason she got a facelift was because of old filler. She hadn’t used facial filler for over three years, but even after dissolving it in her cheeks multiple times, some remained.

Oh my gosh, it was awful! My face got so itchy and puffy, especially my cheeks, and it just kept spreading! Let me tell you from experience, this filler stuff doesn’t just dissolve on its own like everyone says. Thankfully, Dr. Daniel Gould is a miracle worker, and he managed to remove SO much of it during my lift. I’m so grateful for his skills!
Meanwhile, Dr. Gould had also shared why Bunnie was interested in receiving the plastic surgery.
In a March 16th Instagram video, he explained she wanted to address some sagging skin in her neck, subtly lift her cheeks, restore lost volume, and improve the skin around her upper eyelids, temples, and mid-face.
Bunnie has some bruises after the procedure, but Dr. Gould says she’s recovering well.
The doctor mentioned that the patient is incredibly kind and considerate, and expressed gratitude for her permission to discuss her case.
