The latest season of Jujutsu Kaisen began airing in January and has quickly become a hit. It picks up after the intense Shibuya Incident and leads into the Culling Game, which is the series’ longest story arc. With the Jujutsu Kaisen manga now finished, the anime is moving quickly toward its own conclusion. The animation studio, MAPPA, is aiming to adapt a large portion of the manga – 84 chapters – within this single season, which is being released in two parts. Since the first part consists of 12 episodes, the second part will likely have a similar length.
The newest season has more chapters than previous seasons, leading to a noticeably quicker pace. While a typical anime episode usually adapts three or four chapters, MAPPA has been covering even more ground this season. As the first part of Season 3 nears its end, the studio has taken a big risk with what many are calling its most divisive episode yet.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 1 Finale Adapts The Entire Sendai Colony Fight
The anime is building excitement for its finale with a new trailer hinting at an amazing fight. The animation looks fantastic, but squeezing seven chapters’ worth of content – about 150 pages from the manga – into a 27-minute episode means the pacing will be much faster than usual. This makes it the most ambitious episode the studio has attempted so far.
The last episode will center around a battle in Sendai Colony, starring Yuta Okkotsu – Gojo’s most powerful student and a highly skilled sorcerer. Viewers saw his impressive abilities in the previous movie, and he’s become even stronger after a year of training. The episode will pit him against Ryu Ishigori and Takaka Uro, two ancient sorcerers who have been reborn to compete in the Culling Game.
When Is Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 1 Ending?

The last episode of this season will be available on Crunchyroll on March 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. This is shortly after it airs in Japan. Keep in mind this applies to the subtitled version; the dubbed version will be released a few weeks later.
Currently, the newest season of the show is only available on Netflix in certain parts of Asia, and it won’t be added to the U.S. selection for some time. While a portion of the season was previously announced, there haven’t been any recent details about when it will be released, or even a preview of what’s to come. The second half of the season will continue the intense battles within the Culling Game and is expected to include major surprises and reveals.
