A lesser-known series from Shueisha’s Shonen Jump is finally getting an anime adaptation this April, and a new trailer just dropped! As the Winter anime season wraps up, get ready for a fresh batch of shows premiering this Spring. It’s been a great year for Shonen Jump already, and Shueisha has even more new anime on the way to keep the excitement going.
I’m so excited! Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda’s Marriagetoxin is finally getting an anime adaptation this April as part of the Spring 2026 season! They just dropped a new trailer, and it gives a really great look at the story’s central romance – it’s definitely got a twisted edge that’s totally pulling me in. You can check out the trailer below and get a good feel for the main characters and what’s in store!
When Does Marriagetoxin Come Out?
The anime series Marriagetoxin will premiere in Japan on April 7th as part of the Spring 2026 season. Currently, there’s no news about when or where it will be available internationally. The official social media accounts have been sharing behind-the-scenes content leading up to the release, giving fans a glimpse into the making of the show. The main production team has also been announced.
Motonobu Hori will direct the upcoming anime Marriagetoxin, which is being produced by the studio Bones (known for shows like Gachiakuta and My Hero Academia). Kimiko Ueno is writing the scripts, Kohei Tokuoka is the chief animation director, and Taisei Iwasaki and Yuma Yamaguchi are composing the music. The latest trailer also revealed the ending theme song, “Shake Na Baby,” performed by AKASAKI, and the opening theme, “Kill or Kiss,” performed by Yurina Hirate.
What Is Marriagetoxin About?
April is packed with new anime, but Marriagetoxin is one you won’t want to miss. While it’s starting off as a low-key action series, it’s expected to gain a lot of popularity this spring. The story offers a unique twist on romance: the main character must find a spouse to satisfy his family’s assassin clan and save his sister from an unwanted marriage.
He doesn’t know anything about love, so he hires a professional matchmaker with a bit of a shady side to find him a wife. This sets off a hilarious and action-packed anime full of crazy skills and over-the-top battles – it’s sure to be a fun watch!
