According to whispers about the title of the upcoming Battlefield game, DICE has verified that it’s actually named Battlefield 6. What’s even more exciting is that a launch trailer for this game will debut on July 24th at 8 AM Pacific Daylight Time.
It’s not much that’s been disclosed about this campaign, only that it seems to have had trouble meeting its targets and financial goals. However, multiplayer mode has been under test since March, conducted by Battlefield Labs. A significant amount of footage has leaked, demonstrating the level of destruction, vehicles, a return to a contemporary setting, and an absence of class-based weapon restrictions (which has stirred some controversy).
DICE has detailed its strategy for the forthcoming open beta, ensuring it caters to different playing styles. Players are free to choose any weapon they prefer, however, only specific classes will gain advantages (such as Recon characters being able to hold their breath while using sniper rifles). We might also get more information about the beta’s release dates along with the announcement.
It’s not yet clear when exactly Battlefield 6 will be out, but it’s likely coming within this financial year on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Keep an eye out for further updates until then.
