Ciara and Russell Wilson are about to witness an impressive level up.
During a recent family outing, Ciara and Russell Wilson’s older children, Future Zahir and Sienna Princess, shared what they’re interested in for their future careers. Future Zahir, after visiting the University of Texas, seems to be taking a closer look at his dad’s career as an NFL quarterback.
The 11-year-old told TopMob News he’d love to return, speaking at the Fashion Scholarship Fund’s 89th Annual Gala on March 24 with his family. He shared that he had a great time attending with his dad, describing it as a wonderful experience for both of them.
The father and son recently visited the college’s athletic facilities, and he shared some moments from their trip on Instagram. The video, posted on March 14th, shows them at the football field and batting cages, enthusiastically giving the “Hook ’em, Horns” gesture.
Showing his characteristic support, Russell Wilson commented that Ciara’s son, Future Zahir (whose father is Future), has a lot of potential at the University of Texas, regardless of what sport he chooses to play.
It’s great that young athletes are being recognized earlier these days,” he said. “Being able to help him get into a school he’s always wanted to attend is amazing, especially because he’s such a naturally gifted athlete – he excels at basketball, football, and baseball.
The New York Giants quarterback, who shares 5-year-old Win Harrison and 2-year-old Amora Princess with singer Ciara, says his daughter Sienna is also very gifted in many areas.
But similar to her older brother, the 8-year-old is also focused on landing a few touchdowns.
She really wants to play football if the school starts a girls’ team. She believes they should, and she’s eager to play full-contact tackle football.
And Ciara made clear she’ll be cheering on Sienna from the sidelines.
She’s a natural athlete, just like me, but also full of spirit and personality,” she said with a laugh. “She’s really into flag football and is surprisingly tough – which I love! It makes me think about how far women’s sports have come. I’m so proud that she’s already so confident and fearless at such a young age. It just proves there’s no reason girls can’t do anything they set their minds to!”
The singer, known for her song “1,2 Step,” is excited to see her daughter Sienna confidently express herself, because she’s raised her daughters to always speak their minds.
Ciara recently shared with Parents magazine that a strong sense of self has always been a key part of her family’s approach to life. She explained that her independence, confidence, and willingness to follow her own beliefs – even when others disagree – feel like something she was born with.
