The Original Cute ‘Em Up Series Cotton‘s 35th Anniversary Title
The Cotton series is a long-running and beloved collection of cute ’em up (shoot ’em up) games. It will be celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2026. This new game follows Cotton Fantasy, which was well-received when it launched in 2021 as a celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary.
Cotton is Now Set in… Japan?
Nata de Cotton, a witch with an enormous sweet tooth, is on a global quest for Willow candies! Leaving her magical kingdom behind, she unexpectedly finds herself in Japan, where a brand new adventure is about to begin.
Exhilarating Gameplay Systems Return with 10 Playable Characters
Along with the eight characters from Cotton Fantasy, two guest characters are joining the game. Players can even play as Cotton in a special, elegant outfit! The guest characters are Izuna, a ninja from Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, and Psyva Ria, based on a ship from Psyvariar 3. The game features a total of 16 stages, including six main stages you can choose, plus bonus and final stages.
The fun gameplay of Cotton Fantasy is back, and each character’s special attacks are just as exciting! This time around, the story sections are fully acted and even longer than before.
