Influencer Addressed Why She Ended Marriage Days Before Husband Killed Her

Fitness influencer Gloria Zamora revealed that she was separating from her husband just prior to the unfortunate incident when he took her life during a date with someone else.

Approximately one and a half years ago is when my second marriage began to disintegrate, as I was focusing my time on fitness and nurturing growth in other areas,” Zamora, aged 40, elaborated during the June 16 episode of the “HERizon” podcast.

As people began to hinder my growth in something I’m deeply enthusiastic about, I felt stifled and restricted. It seemed like this person was impeding my progress. Eventually, I chose to part ways with my second spouse, which coincided with a series of issues arising. This situation was dragging me down emotionally,” she elaborated, emphasizing that it was detrimental to her mental well-being.

Zamora expressed that her work was extremely challenging and draining on her mental energy. She added, “If I could talk to my upcoming divorcee, my second husband, this is what I would say: ‘My work already requires a lot from me, and with the additional emotional strain you’ve been causing, I can hardly comprehend how I manage to cope.’

Zamora acknowledged that her younger kids were urging her towards divorce. She expressed gratitude towards her older children as she believed they prevented her from remaining in an unhappy marriage. If her older children weren’t part of the picture, she might still be stuck in that marriage, she stated. She was going through a difficult separation, which wasn’t very attractive.

A few days following the podcast’s release, the Fontana Police Department informed Us Weekly that Zamora was fatally shot on Saturday, June 21. This tragic incident occurred while Zamora and Hector Garduno were dining outside at a restaurant in Fontana, California.

Officer Steve Reed of the Fontana Police Department shared that there had been a couple who were no longer on good terms due to their ongoing divorce proceedings, which apparently resulted in the situation at hand.

Official sources informed us that the individual under investigation, known as Tomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga (who is reportedly the estranged husband of Zamora), was the one who allegedly fired shots at the couple in the parking area.

Reed shared that it’s unclear how he got the information, but it seems like she had already been at the restaurant for around an hour before the shooting occurred,” Reed informed the media source.

At the time of the incident, a number of off-duty peace officers – among them an off-duty deputy from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s department – were prompted to action following the sound of gunfire. Subsequently, Lizarraga was fatally shot and declared dead at the spot. This information was shared by the Fontana Police Department with us. The investigation into the matter is still in progress.

Following the announcement of the influencer’s passing, Zamora’s family honored her memory by setting up a GoFundMe page. On this platform, they expressed their tribute while requesting contributions towards funeral and memorial costs, as well as to support the care of her children in the future.

She often asserted, ‘Women are capable of anything they aspire to do,’ and she embodied those sentiments daily. Her bravery, compassion, and resilience left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
