I, an ardent enthusiast, find myself hurled back through the annals of time into the captivating Edo period Japan. Amidst this intriguing landscape, I’ve found myself entangled in a baffling sequence of peculiar murders. Can I, against all odds, unravel the enigmatic threads surrounding these slayings in the Yoshiwara red light district and eventually find my way back to the present?
In this captivating tale, I, a 17-year-old named Kotaro, reside in the bustling heart of contemporary Japan. One fateful day, I’m enveloped by an extraordinary supernatural event in Shibuya, causing me to black out. Upon regaining consciousness, I find myself transported to a world that echoes the timeless beauty of a Japanese period drama.
In modern terms, Kotaro is informed by what he perceives as a divine entity that he’s now in the infamous red light district of Edo, 19th-century Japan’s capital, where his physical body has perished and he exists only as a spirit. He’s been mysteriously transported back through time to this period, and the purpose of his arrival and the pathway to the afterlife remain unclear. As a result, Kotaro embarks on a journey through Yoshiwara’s streets, seeking answers to unravel the enigma surrounding his predicament.
In due time, he discovers the grisly murder of a high-class companion, prompting him to assume the position of an investigator in search of answers. Yet, it isn’t long before he encounters a string of peculiar killings…
