I’m so excited Race Across the World is back! Tonight, we’ll meet five brave teams who are about to start an incredible adventure – a real journey of a lifetime, and I can’t wait to see how they do.
The teams include cousins Puja and Roshni, who say competing together has surprisingly brought them closer.
Going through this experience has made us closer. We learned things about each other that you only discover when you live with someone day-to-day,” Roshni explained to TopMob.
Tonight, Puja and Roshni, along with all the other competitors, are in Palermo, Sicily, when they discover their first destination: Fiskardo, on the island of Kefalonia.
Want to know how they’ll complete the race? You’ll have to watch tonight to find out! But while you wait, why not learn more about the team competing on Race Across the World 2026?
Who are Puja and Roshni?

Relationship: Cousins
Puja, 31, and her cousin Roshni, 32, both from London, focused on establishing their careers – Puja as a doctor and Roshni as a software engineer – and had to postpone their travel dreams.
Before the race began, the cousins had very different concerns. Roshni was mainly worried about finding suitable food, as they both follow a vegetarian diet.
Roshni explained to TopMob that they all understood going into the expedition that some sacrifices would be necessary.
Puja’s main concern during the trip was running out of personal care items. She admitted that the thought of having to spend money from their limited budget on things like deodorant really upset her.
Why did Puja and Roshni sign up for Race Across the World?
Puja first signed up for the show with a friend years ago. However, she was encouraged to team up with someone she’d known for a longer time, so she reapplied with Roshni instead.
Roshni was hesitant at first. She explained to TopMob that she and her husband had recently gotten married, and she was in the process of finding a house and settling into adult life. Taking three months off work didn’t seem like a practical choice at the time.
My husband saw a message from Puja and was really upset, telling me, ‘Why haven’t you called her back?’
