Ariana Replies to ‘Love Island USA’ Viewer Who Called Season 7 ‘Boring’

Love Island USA host Ariana Madix is not here for the season 7 slander.

On Monday, June 23, Ariana received comments from viewers who expressed their frustration about the eliminations in the TikTok video she had posted.

One viewer commented, ‘Please fix this disappointing season, Ariana,’ but the host responded, ‘I really enjoy this season.’

There was another viewer who called season 7 “soo boring” to watch.

They mentioned that many people are no longer tuning in, but Ariana made it apparent that she strongly disagrees, expressing her excitement for each episode. It seems we might be following a different program.

Each year, a new set of singles is featured on the reality TV series called “Love Island,” originally debuted in the U.K. back in 2002. The goal for these contestants is to form romantic relationships and remain paired up within the show’s lavish villa. Over time, this franchise has grown globally, with “Love Island USA” launching in 2019 and garnering significant interest during its sixth season in 2024.

Due to its captivating plotline, a remarkable number of followers like myself have been drawn into season 7, keeping a close eye on the islanders, namely Ace Greene, Amaya Espinal, Austin Shepard, Chelley Bissainthe, Cierra Ortega, Hannah Fields, Huda Mustafa, Iris Kendall, Jalen Brown, Jeremiah Brown, Pepe Garcia, Nic Vansteenberghe, Olandria Carthen, Taylor Williams, and Charlie Georgiou. Each day, barring Wednesdays, we eagerly await their daily endeavors to discover love on our screens.

As the online chatter has escalated, Ariana has called out the problematic behavior.

Ariana mentioned on the June 21st episode of Aftersun that she felt compelled to speak out to certain online individuals. She urged them to avoid reaching out to people’s loved ones and refrain from sharing personal information about others (doxxing).

Ariana reminded people to take a step back.

Avoid posting rude comments on the islanders’ social media pages since they don’t have their phones right now. You can still rectify this situation by deleting any inappropriate posts, as we want to maintain the positive and enjoyable atmosphere of this wonderful show. The islanders are generous for sharing their lives with us, so let’s appreciate them daily.

Beyond that point, things didn’t slow down either. Besides social media users reaching out to the islanders’ families, certain individuals even started accusing the show’s crew members of unfair decisions like eliminations and twist in the challenges.

Love Island USA‘s narrator Iain Stirling even had to make a rare comment about the controversy.

On Monday, June 23rd, he expressed his gratitude for the numerous kind comments about Love Island this season on TikTok, but also wanted to clarify a small point.

The voice actor made it clear that he has “no power at all” over events in the villa. He explained, “If they ask me to say something, I will certainly do so.” In other words, he politely requested people to stop messaging him and asking for his help, as he simply cannot provide it.

On Tuesday, June 24th, midway through the Casa Amor episode, Peacock released an official statement, emphasizing that the essence of Love Island lies in… affection. We care deeply for our audience members. We cherish our cast members.

The message encouraged viewers to opt for compassion instead of engaging in cyberbullying, harassment, or spreading hate.

New episodes of Love Island USA are released six days a week — except for Wednesdays — on Peacock.
