Insidious 6 Gets New Title, First Trailer To Release Very Soon

The next Insidious movie, number six in the series, has been officially titled, and we now know when the first trailer will be released. Production started in late September 2025, following an initial announcement in May 2024, and finished a few months back.

Insidious 6 reveals new title and first trailer release date

The team promoting the sixth Insidious movie revealed its title, Out of the Further, in a creative way. At an event in Los Angeles, performers dressed in red and white, with smudged makeup, formed the letters of the title by arranging themselves in different groups and shapes.

The trailer for Insidious 6 was also revealed, confirming the first look at the movie will be released tomorrow, Monday.

The new horror film, Insidious: Out of the Further, will now be released in the U.S. on August 21, 2026. It was delayed from its original release date of August 29, 2025, and was once known as Insidious: The Bleeding World.

Writer-director Jacob Chase announced on Instagram that filming finished in November 2025. He thanked the cast and crew for all their effort.

The story follows three stalkers who invade a peaceful neighborhood and trap a family in a terrifying alternate dimension. There, the family discovers a frightening secret: this other world is starting to merge with our own.

Chase not only directed and wrote the sixth ‘Insidious’ movie, but also created the story alongside David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Jason Blum, James Wan, Oren Peli, and Leigh Whannell all served as producers. Sony Pictures will release the film in theaters.

The movie stars Amelia Eve, Island Austin, Sam Spruell, Brandon Perea, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Laura Gordon. Lin Shaye returns as her popular character, Elise Rainier, from earlier films in the series.

There were early reports that Insidious 6 would be the final movie in the horror series. But Lin Shaye quickly dismissed those rumors in a Facebook post, also confirming she wasn’t leaving the franchise. She enthusiastically stated, “We are just getting started!”
