Reported Physint Casting Call Looks for a Villain on a Hijacked Bus

It looks like Kojima Productions is finally beginning full development on their new project, Physint. Recent casting calls for characters, as noted by MP1ST, suggest work is officially underway.

According to reports, the project is now casting actors for several parts set on a hijacked bus, including roles like the villain and various teenage passengers.

So far, the game will feature Charlee Fraser (from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Don Lee (Train to Busan), and Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One). These actors join the previously announced cast, and reports indicate…

  • A mother holding her newborn baby
  • Five teenagers of different ethnicities
  • Two additional male passengers
  • An antagonistic character with a German accent

Fans are especially curious about the last character being cast, and more details have emerged about what the studio is looking for. They want an actor with a slender build who can portray someone quiet, yet intensely confident – even disturbingly so. The studio’s ideal is someone like Mads Mikkelsen in Hannibal, but with a bit more style.

According to the website, the project is codenamed “Shimmer.” Mari Ueda and her company, Pivot Motion, are in charge of casting, and they previously collaborated with Kojima Productions on Death Stranding 2.

According to recent reports, motion capture for the new Physint game is planned to begin in June. However, this suggests the game is still several years from release. The developer needs to finish other commitments for Microsoft first, and Hideo Kojima has stated that the game will likely take him five to six years to complete.
