Katy Perry’s Rep Denies Ruby Rose’s Sexual Assault Allegations

Katy Perry‘s team is responding to Ruby Rose‘s allegations.

Following accusations by a former star of Orange is the New Black that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her, a representative for Perry stated the claims were false.

A spokesperson for Katy Perry told TopMob News on April 13th that claims made against her by Ruby Rose on social media are completely untrue and dangerously misleading.

According to a statement, Ms. Rose has repeatedly made serious accusations against people on social media, and those individuals have consistently denied her claims.

TopMob News has reached out to Rose’s team for comment and has not yet heard back.

Rose shared her thoughts after seeing a video of Perry’s response to Justin Bieber’s performance at Coachella on April 11th. In the video, Perry playfully mentioned she was glad Bieber had YouTube Premium, so the audience wouldn’t have to sit through ads during his performance, which focused on the internet.

I was shocked to see a post from Rose, a 40-year-old woman, claiming she was sexually assaulted by Katy Perry at a Melbourne nightclub called Spice Market. She shared this in response to a recent video, and frankly, her message was very direct – she doesn’t care what Katy Perry’s opinion is after what allegedly happened.

Rose initially chose not to report the incident to the police, or any past sexual assaults she’d experienced. However, she later decided to pursue legal action against Perry, 41, and others involved.

On April 13th, Rose shared on Threads that she was going to the police station to see if past experiences could be investigated, even though she suspects the time limit for pursuing legal action may have passed. She acknowledged it could be emotionally draining, as she has a lot to report, but plans to share updates on the process when she feels able.

Hours later, Rose posted, “I did it.”

Actress Rose McGowan has publicly shared stories about difficult experiences she’s had throughout her career. In 2021, she specifically accused the CW show Batwoman of having unsafe working conditions, which she said led to her decision to leave after only one season.

In response, Warner Bros TV claimed that Rose was terminated because of her behavior.

The network stated that, regardless of Ruby Rose’s recent online claims, Warner Bros. Television chose not to renew her contract for a second season of BATWOMAN due to numerous complaints about her behavior on set. These complaints were thoroughly investigated and addressed privately to protect everyone involved.

Back in 2018, Rose’s former partner, Jessica Origliasso, claimed Rose harassed her after Rose commented on a social media post by Origliasso with her new boyfriend.

I’ve been following this situation closely, and it’s heartbreaking to see. Ruby Rose has clearly stated she asked this person not to contact her months ago, and she’s been incredibly patient, ignoring them on all other private channels. Yet, they still keep reaching out, publicly pretending to be supportive, which she rightly calls continued harassment. It’s just awful to witness and she deserves to have her boundaries respected.
