Walker Scobell will not be giving anyone a corsage.
The actor known for playing Percy Jackson publicly condemned people who sent death threats to teenagers they thought he was considering taking to prom. He also made a point of stating his prom plans clearly.
I was really shocked to see a post from Walker on Instagram a few days ago saying they wouldn’t be going to prom. But honestly, what upset me even more was the second part of their message. They pleaded with people to stop sending death threats to any girl who might even live near them or have some loose connection. It’s just awful that anyone would react like that, and I really feel for Walker and anyone getting targeted by such horrible behavior.
Walker didn’t respond to the specific accusations, but he stated that the behavior was unfair to the women he cares about and their families.
Walker added, “It would be great if people would just stop sending death threats. It’s really not okay, and honestly, I shouldn’t even have to say that.”
Ever since landing the lead role in the Disney+ series in 2023, the 17-year-old actor has said his life changed dramatically and unexpectedly quickly.
Walker said in an interview with USA Today last year that when he realized it was Percy Jackson, he hoped it would be popular, but he never imagined it would become so huge so quickly. He explained that it immediately took off and started impacting his life right away.
I’ll never forget when he talked about being recognized by fans. He said he genuinely doesn’t know how to feel when it happens – like, is it amazing, or should he be worried? It’s so relatable, honestly, because I can’t imagine what it’s like to have that kind of instant recognition!
At just 13 years old, Walker starred with Aryan Simhardri and Leah Jeffries in the television series based on Rick Riordan’s popular books. Filming for the show’s third season wrapped up in March.

Although the actor, known for his role in The Adam Project, has openly discussed the challenges of playing such a famous character, he’s also made it clear that it’s always been a lifelong dream for him.
He shared with Behind the Blinds in December that he enjoys his work immensely. He has little patience for negativity, saying that even when things are tough, it’s better to find humor in the situation instead of constantly complaining.
We don’t have a release date for the third season of Percy Jackson yet, but check out the rest of this article for other upcoming TV show premieres!

As a lifelong fan, I was completely captivated by the documentary Jerry West: The Logo. It really digs into the cost of being a legend, and how Jerry himself paid that price. It’s a truly revealing look at the man behind the icon.
