Lewis Capaldi Reacts to Lewis Hamilton, Kim Kardashian Date Mix-Up

Lewis Capaldi is keeping up with Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton‘s romance.

Lewis Capaldi, the singer of “Someone You Loved,” took the mix-up in stride when people mistakenly thought he was Kim Kardashian’s date at Justin Bieber’s Coachella concert on April 11th.

A fan account shared a video of Kim Kardashian and Lewis Capaldi looking friendly at Coachella, incorrectly identifying Capaldi as Lewis Hamilton. Capaldi playfully responded on X (formerly Twitter), pretending to be annoyed by the lack of privacy.

Kim Kardashian, 45, and Lewis Hamilton, 41, were spotted together at the music festival. They were joined by Kim’s 12-year-old daughter, North West, who she shares with her ex-husband, Kanye West.

Kim’s sister, Kendall Jenner, was also seen at the event, along with Kylie Jenner and her partner, Timothée Chalamet.

Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have been acquainted since the mid-2010s, but dating rumors began circulating earlier this year after they were spotted taking a private plane to Paris together. The speculation increased in March when Hamilton left a playful comment on one of Kardashian’s Instagram posts.

After spending time with Lewis Hamilton in Tokyo before the Japanese Grand Prix, Kim Kardashian confirmed their relationship on Instagram earlier this month. Hamilton shared a video of Kardashian as his passenger in a car, revealing they were together.

It took Kim Kardashian some time to feel ready to date again after her divorce from Kanye West, with whom she shares three children: Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6. The divorce was finalized in 2022.

She confessed on a recent episode of The Kardashians that the longer she’s been single, the more she’s adjusted to it. She explained that it becomes less desirable to share things like a bed or favorite shows with someone else, simply because she’s become accustomed to her own routine.

You know, I’ve been hearing from loved ones that I’ve been really focused on work lately, and honestly, I’ve realized it’s perfectly okay to prioritize what I want right now. Sometimes you just need to step back a little and concentrate on your own goals and happiness – there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that!

She added, “When the right person comes along, I’ll be so ready and everything will be fine.”

Kim Kardashian isn’t the first celebrity Lewis Hamilton has been linked to. Here’s a look back at his previous relationships.

Lewis Hamilton and Danielle Lloyd had a short romance after meeting at a London nightclub in the early 2000s, though they ultimately went their separate ways.

We met through friends and felt an immediate connection, so we exchanged numbers,” she told the Daily Mail in 2007. “Even though I lived in Liverpool and he was in London, we continued to talk and stay connected.

Although he watched Lloyd win Miss England in 2004, they grew apart as teenagers due to the distance between them. “He’s a wonderful person,” Lloyd explained, “but we’re no longer a couple.”

Before Lewis Hamilton became famous as a Formula 1 driver, he was a student at Cambridge School of Arts in England, where he attended classes with a classmate named Jodia Ma.

She told the Daily Mail that even after their four-year relationship ended in 2007, they remained close friends and continued to stay in touch. She described Lewis as a genuinely kind and caring person.

As he started his first season in Formula 1, he simply wanted complete control. Ma explained that they didn’t break up due to problems in their relationship, but because they both had different career goals they wanted to follow.

Between 2007 and 2015, Lewis Hamilton didn’t have to admire anyone else’s girlfriend, as he was dating Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls. They began a somewhat unsteady relationship after meeting at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November 2007, and while they dated on and off, they weren’t in a rush to get married.

He admitted to feeling pressure from his family in a December 2014 interview with TopMob News. However, he added that his wife, Nicole, is equally dedicated to her career, and they are both content with their life together.

Until they weren’t. 

The future Tony Award winner told The Sun that they were heartbroken when the relationship finally ended months later. They explained it was a very difficult choice, but they made it as a couple.

Before her recent relationship with Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid was linked to Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton. They first connected at a charity event in May 2015, and soon after, Gigi and her friends – including her sister Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber – went to France to support Hamilton at a Formula 1 race.

She posted on Instagram, “We love you, Lewis Hamilton! Everyone knows you’re the best! #TEAMLH.”

They didn’t immediately become a couple, but they did collaborate on a Tommy Hilfiger advertising campaign in 2018.

As for reports Hamilton once dated Jenner? So not bible.

He told TopMob News before the New York Fashion Week show in September 2015 that he and Kendall were just friends, adding, “We’ve been friends for a long time.”

In other words, their NYC hangs were strictly platonic. 

Hamilton praised Jenner’s modeling work, saying she’s remarkably focused and mature for her age. He noted she’s very grounded and handles everything well.

Okay, so after Lewis and Nicole finally called it quits (it was SO on-again, off-again, honestly!), I nearly lost it when pictures surfaced of him with Rihanna at the Barbados carnival in 2015! It was EVERYTHING. And then… THEN they were spotted on a yacht together, just cruising around the Caribbean?! I was checking for updates every five minutes, seriously. It was a magical time, let me tell you.

According to a source, she’s enjoying getting to know him and isn’t rushing into anything serious, but she genuinely likes him and his personality.

When asked if their connection was something special, Lewis explained to TopMob at the MTV VMAs that he and Ri had been friends for quite some time and enjoyed spending time together occasionally.

It’s not known if Rita Ora ever reciprocated Lewis Hamilton’s affections, but they went on several dinner dates in 2016. The year ended with Ora – who is now married to Taika Waititi – supporting Hamilton at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix.

 

Lewis Hamilton was briefly linked to model Barbara Palvin. They were seen together at Paris Fashion Week in March 2016 and again at the amfAR gala during the Cannes Film Festival the following May.

She was also there to cheer him on at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in her home country of Hungary that summer, but by the next year, she was living with her future husband, Dylan Sprouse.

Following reports linking Lewis Hamilton to model Winnie Harlow in late 2016 – after they were seen together at the GQ Men of the Year Awards – he clarified that he wasn’t dating anyone at the time.

About a year after they were photographed together at the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City, she attended a race in Monaco.

Following a shared appearance at a Balmain fashion show in Paris in January 2017, Lewis Hamilton and Sofia Richie Grainge were seen together on several occasions back in Los Angeles.

According to a source at TopMob News, Richie Grainge and Scott Disick weren’t officially dating, but they enjoyed each other’s company. However, by the end of the year, Richie Grainge – who is now married to music executive Elliot Grainge – was reportedly in a relationship with Scott Disick.

Following a 2016 Alexander Wang fashion show where Lewis Hamilton and Nicki Minaj were seen together, the pair seemed to grow closer. They were spotted together at a New York launch party in September 2018, and shortly after, they were photographed sharing an ATV during a trip to the Dubai desert.

She posted a now-deleted Instagram selfie with the caption, ‘Living my best Caribbean life!’ She also mentioned she and Lewis were making a lot of money, comparing it to ink drying on paper.

In February 2026, Lewis Hamilton seemed to be starting a new relationship when he and Kim Kardashian flew to Paris on a private jet from England.

Although Kardashian hasn’t officially announced they’re dating, she seemed very excited about a potential romance. She shared a photo on Instagram of her evening in Paris, mentioning she was watching season 4 of Bridgerton and enjoying cheesecake from Hotel Coste.

She and Hamilton have been spending a lot of time together recently. They’ve been seen at events, including the 2026 Super Bowl, traveled to Tokyo, and appear to have confirmed their relationship with a video posted in April 2026.
