At CinemaCon, Sony showed off the first look at the new Resident Evil movie, directed by Zach Cregger. The footage suggests this reboot will be a much darker version of the classic series.
A new live-action Resident Evil movie is coming to theaters on September 18, 2026. Instead of retelling a story from the popular video games, this film will feature a completely original plot with brand new characters. The story centers around Bryan, a delivery driver portrayed by Austin Abrams, who gets caught up in a dangerous viral outbreak at a hospital in Raccoon City.
