Fans are getting their first extended preview of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the highly anticipated third film in the Miles Morales trilogy.
At CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, Sony Pictures shared exciting news about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Representatives from ScreenRant attended a presentation featuring Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Bob Persichetti, and Justin K. Thompson, who finally discussed the long-awaited conclusion to the trilogy. Attendees got a sneak peek at the 2027 film, including footage of its opening scene.
The story picks up immediately after the end of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, with the Prowler observing Miles. Miles is suddenly struck and knocked unconscious. When he wakes up, he finds himself face-to-face with his uncle and tries to reason with him. He then encounters an alternate version of himself – a Prowler from another universe – who is working alongside his uncle. Miles pleads to be released, leading to a heated argument, even a debate over how to say the name “Morales.” Miles attempts to explain the idea of a fixed, unavoidable event, but the alternate Miles and his uncle just laugh. Our Miles begins to flicker and glitch, insisting he doesn’t want to harm them before ultimately using his powers to break free from his restraints.
The scene quickly shows Miles fighting, followed by a brief shot of him and Gwen exchanging a look. We then see Spider-Ham holding Peter B. Parker’s baby, with Spider-Gwen standing nearby. A shot displays Spider-People from various universes all together. Finally, Miles’ mom tells him he’s strong, and the scene cuts to the logo.
