This year marks a big celebration for many video game series, and today Animal Crossing joins the festivities as it turns 25! The original game came out on the N64 back on April 14th, 2001. While fans are eager for news about the next Animal Crossing game, Nintendo isn’t letting the anniversary pass unnoticed. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is receiving a new update today, which includes important bug fixes and a special gift to commemorate 25 years of the beloved franchise. It’s not a massive update like the 3.0 version, but it’s a nice way to celebrate!
Update 3.0.2 for New Horizons is available now, starting April 14th! This update fixes a few problems, like getting stuck in hotels or villagers appearing inside your house unexpectedly. It also includes a special gift – a Leaf Ornament – to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Animal Crossing! You can find it in your mailbox after you’ve downloaded the update.

- This issue was addressed in Ver. 3.0.1, but could still occur under certain conditions, so it has been fixed again.
