Although reactions to Justin Bieber’s performance at Coachella 2026 were varied, his wife, Hailey, quickly defended him against criticism online.

The founder of Rhode shared photos from the first weekend of Coachella, calling it “such a special weekend.” She expressed immense gratitude for her life and hinted at a difficult journey to get to where she is now, adding, “Nobody will ever know even an ounce of what it’s taken to get here.” She finished by saying she was incredibly proud and eager to repeat the experience.

The carousel of photos included a picture of Hailey and Justin with their 19-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, at the music festival. There were also photos of Hailey and Jack dancing while watching Justin’s sound check in a mostly empty field.

Adding to the fun, a photo of baby Jack with a temporary tattoo on his arm circulated – it said “Bieberchella” inside a barbed wire heart. Justin Bieber’s fans playfully nicknamed this year’s Coachella festival “Bieberchella” to celebrate his first time headlining.

To make it even clearer how Hailey feels about Justin’s recent performances – which included him singing along to his old YouTube videos – she also shared a TikTok review from Gabby Windey, who appeared on the show Traitors.

I was absolutely blown away by Justin Bieber’s performance at Coachella! I saw a video of Gabby talking about it, and she totally nailed my feelings. Some people are saying he didn’t do enough, but honestly, he did more than enough. Like, what are people expecting? A spaceship landing? He killed it!

The Bachelorette star explained that his YouTube DJ set felt cozy and personal, like everyone was gathered in a living room watching music videos together, and he was in control. She described it as intimate, connecting, and romantic.

Justin Bieber’s performance at Coachella—where he’ll be back on April 25th for the second weekend—was his first big, complete concert since his Justice World Tour in 2022.

He celebrated his comeback by dedicating his new song, “Everything Hallelujah,” to his family and friends.

In a clip posted to X, he sang directly to the camera, exclaiming, “Mom and Dad, hallelujah!” He continued, addressing someone named Hailey with “Hailey babe, hallelujah,” and then included “Baby Jack, hallelujah.”

Although some viewers thought Justin could have done more during his desert performance, as Gabby pointed out, many of his fans were very happy with it.

One commenter on Gabby’s video wrote, “He seemed truly happy, and that should be enough,” while American Idol’s Lauren Alaina chimed in, “The fact that he showed up is enough for me!”

Another fan commented that anyone who didn’t like the performance wasn’t a real fan, and it simply wasn’t meant for them.
