Alba Baptista Reveals How Chris Evans Helps Her Career in Rare Comment

Alba Baptista can’t help but marvel at Chris Evans.

The actress, known for playing Mother Mary, shared details about her relationship, explaining how her husband of two years has been a strong supporter of her acting work.

Alba described him as an incredible source of support, telling Entertainment Tonight at the New York film premiere on April 13th that he always gives the best advice.

Even though Chris Evans, known for his role as Captain America, hasn’t watched the movie starring Anne Hathaway yet, he’s really looking forward to seeing it soon.

The 28-year-old, who had a baby girl with Chris in October, often expresses her gratitude for his support. She simply describes him as ‘the best person,’ emphasizing how much she appreciates him.

Although Chris and Alba generally prefer to keep their relationship private, the actor did reveal a little about their wonderful three-year journey together.

“We’re laying low,” he told TopMob News in June 2025. “We’re enjoying our time, just relaxing.” 

When it comes to married life, he added, “It’s incredible. It’s wonderful.”

After all, the 44-year-old has always seen himself with his own growing family.

He told People magazine in 2022 that having a wife, kids, and a family is a major goal for him. He explained that when you look at the lives of successful people – actors, artists, writers – they often say their greatest achievements weren’t their work, but the strong relationships, families, and love they built.

He expressed a fondness for tradition and meaningful rituals, explaining that he’d experienced a lot of that in his own life and found the prospect of building those kinds of experiences incredibly rewarding.

So, Chris was more than ready to plan his and Alba’s September 2023 nuptials.

Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking,” he shared with the audience at New York Comic Con in 2023, reflecting on their recent nuptials. “Anyone who’s been married knows how draining it can be. But now that it’s over, we’re just relaxing and enjoying life, especially with autumn approaching—it’s my favorite season and the best time of year.

He added, “Now we’re just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting.”

Now that Chris and Alba are starting a new and exciting phase of their relationship, let’s take a moment to remember how their love story began.

Reports began circulating in mid-2021 that the Marvel actor and the star of Warrior Nun were dating, but they didn’t officially confirm their relationship until 2022 when they were first seen together publicly holding hands.

In 2023, Chris confirmed their relationship with Alba by sharing a video montage of them together on Instagram.

In February 2023, the actor known for playing an Avenger shared photos and videos celebrating Valentine’s Day with Alba. The posts showed them enjoying activities together like hiking, kissing, traveling, carving pumpkins, and playing with their dog, Dodger.

The couple got married in a small, private ceremony in Massachusetts after dating for two years. The actor, known for his role in the Avengers movies, confirmed the wedding the next month by displaying his wedding ring.

Chris announced to the crowd at New York Comic Con in October 2023 that he had gotten married, and received a warm response. He described the wedding as “really, really great.”

After being married for two years, Chris and Alba announced in 2025 that they were expecting their first child.

That June, the actor from Materialists openly shared how happy marriage had made him and his partner.

“It’s incredible,” Chris effused to TopMob News in June 2025. “It’s wonderful.”

The couple welcomed their daughter in October of that year.
