About
Total Chaos is a terrifying and immersive survival horror game that draws inspiration from classic and modern titles. Players are thrown into the haunting ruins of Fort Oasis, a once-thriving mining town now reduced to a desolate wasteland. A pervasive sense of dread and being watched hangs over the island, and terrifying creatures lie in wait around every corner. As players fight to survive, they’ll uncover clues about the tragic fate of Fort Oasis and their own connection to it, all while struggling to maintain their sanity.
Originally a popular modification of the classic game DOOM II, this title has become a complete, standalone experience filled with chilling atmosphere and constant, unsettling tension. Creator Sam Prebble, who previously worked on the game Turbo Overkill and visual effects for films like Avatar, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes, has crafted a true survival horror game that will leave players feeling vulnerable and on edge.
Running on Nintendo Switch 2, Total Chaos displays in 1080p when docked and 720p in handheld mode. Players can choose between performance and unlocked framerate options, aiming for a smooth 60 frames per second. The game is compatible with Joy-Con 2, offering both mouse and motion controls. The Switch 2 version also includes all the latest content from the recent New Game+ update, such as an alternate ending, a new enemy called The Hunter, and other additions.
