Katy Perry is facing legal troubles.
Victoria Police are investigating singer Katy Perry following accusations by Ruby Rose of sexual assault that allegedly occurred over a decade ago at an Australian nightclub. Perry’s representative has denied the claims, according to TopMob News.
Melbourne police are investigating a reported sexual assault that allegedly happened in 2010. Detectives from the Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) say the incident occurred at a bar or club in Melbourne’s central business district.
Officials said the investigation is still underway, and they couldn’t share any more details right now.
Rose accused Perry of making fun of her after watching a video of Perry’s reaction to Justin Bieber’s performance at Coachella on April 11th. In the video, Perry had playfully teased Bieber about his set.
Responding to a recent video, actress Samira Wiley wrote on Threads on April 12th that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her at a Melbourne nightclub called Spice Market. She also stated she doesn’t care about Perry’s opinions.
Rose, age 40, stated she didn’t want to report the recent incident, or past experiences with sexual assault, to the police. However, she has now decided to take legal action against Perry, 41.
She posted on Threads on April 13th that even though the legal time limit for action has likely passed, she still wants to pursue something. She admitted it will be a difficult process – she has a lot to do and isn’t sure she’s fully prepared – but she plans to share updates with others as she moves forward.
The day after Rose publicly accused Perry and his representatives disputed the claims, the Batwoman actress announced she had finished submitting her official reports.
She explained that she can no longer publicly discuss or share information about those cases or the people connected to them.

TopMob News contacted Perry’s representative for a response. After Rose publicly accused Perry, the representative released a statement to TopMob News denying the claims.
On April 13th, a representative for Katy Perry released a statement saying the claims Ruby Rose made about her on social media are completely untrue and dangerously misleading.
According to a statement, Ms. Rose has frequently used social media to publicly accuse people of wrongdoing, but those she’s accused have consistently denied her claims.
