This isn’t the first time Ineson has graced the Marvel Cinematic Universe; he previously appeared as an unnamed Ravager pilot in 2014’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Here’s what he had to share about his latest portrayal.

Ineson expressed that Galactus in The Fantastic Four: First Steps isn’t portrayed as “wicked” or “malicious.” This versatile actor pointed out that even ordinary human characters aren’t necessarily the “antagonist” in their personal narratives, and they usually have specific reasons driving their actions. He further explained, “I’ve never played a character who deliberately chooses to be evil or resembles a villain with a twirling mustache.

According to Ineson, Galactus is unique because he doesn’t have evil intentions; instead, he simply needs to survive by consuming planets. For over 14 billion years, this requirement has maintained a cosmic equilibrium.

According to Ineson, Galactus’ consumption of planets might not be intentionally harmful. He explained, “Galactus doesn’t view the inhabitants of a planet as important, but destroying a planet isn’t an act of malice. It’s simply something he needs to do in order to fulfill his hunger.

In the film, the 55-year-old actor acknowledges that Galactus might be considered somewhat of a villain, but he doesn’t label him as truly evil. He further explained, “If Galactus is poised to destroy the planet you inhabit, he certainly becomes more than a minor annoyance. However, I don’t believe this necessarily makes him wicked.

Stan Lee and Jack Kirby originally introduced the character Galactus in Marvel Comics, first appearing in Fantastic Four #48 back in 1966. A subsequent portrayal of Galactus, which lacked the ability to speak and appeared only as a cosmic entity resembling a cloud, was presented in the 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
