The highly anticipated Spring 2026 anime season has arrived, and Netflix is adding a fresh selection of series to its streaming library. Netflix started the year strong with visually stunning and captivating anime like Cosmic Princess Kaguya and Love Through a Prism. Unlike Crunchyroll, which releases all new shows at the beginning of each season, Netflix releases series throughout the month, including both original content and revivals of older favorites. Now that April is here, the platform has already begun streaming the second season of Dorohedoro and is preparing to launch more popular shows for fans. While some anime additions were previously announced, the official Netflix Anime X account recently shared an updated list of upcoming series.
Although official release dates weren’t available initially, What’s on Netflix reports that the anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation will arrive on Netflix on April 24, 2026. The show first premiered in January 2021 and has become a very popular, though sometimes debated, isekai anime. Currently, all seasons are available on Crunchyroll, but Netflix hasn’t yet said how many seasons will be added to its library this month.
What Is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation About?

This anime is adapted from a popular novel by Rifujin na Magonote, with illustrations by Sirotaka. It tells the story of a 34-year-old man who suffered through years of hardship and bullying. Just when he gets a chance to be a hero, he dies in an accident. But instead of staying gone, he’s reborn in a new world as Rudeus Greyrat. Remembering his past life and with the love of his new parents, Rudeus quickly adjusts to his surroundings and discovers he has incredible magical abilities that amaze everyone.
He improves his swordsmanship and magical abilities with the help of his father and a mage named Roxy Migurdia. Along the way, he becomes friends with a girl his age named Sylphitette. Throughout the story, he works towards a better future. Though popular, the series has also faced criticism for its morally gray protagonist and its handling of sensitive topics.
Spring 2026 Is Packed With Exciting Anime Coming to Netflix

In addition to new shows, Netflix is adding several popular anime from recent years. The highly anticipated Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will be available in May, after being unavailable on the platform for three years. Several other series, including Blue Lock and My Dress-Up Darling, have multiple seasons, but it’s currently unknown whether all of them will be released at the same time or added gradually.
Many fans consider Overlord to be one of the greatest anime in the isekai genre, and it started streaming on the platform on March 31st. The Spring 2026 lineup also features the third movie in the series, which came out in 2024. This is just a preliminary list, with more shows to be announced for April and May.
