How to get Billy Elliot tickets as show returns for West End run and UK tour

Billy Elliot is returning to the West End and national stage for the first time in 10 years.

This popular musical, with music by Elton John, is adapted from the 2000 movie of the same name. It tells the story of Billy Elliot, a young boy growing up in a northern English mining town in the 1980s, who finds a passion for ballet despite living in a tough, traditionally masculine community.

Billy Elliot the Musical is coming back in 2026! The tour starts November 4th at the Sunderland Empire, then travels to Manchester and Edinburgh before finishing in London’s West End at the Adelphi Theatre, running from February 12th to July 31st, 2027. Tickets are available now for all performances.

Elton John and Stephen Daldry, the composer and director of Billy Elliot the Musical, expressed their excitement about the show’s return. They shared that creating the musical was a highlight of their careers, and they’re thrilled to bring it back to audiences across the UK and in London’s West End after more than ten years.

This story is daring, distinctly British, and deeply moving. It feels incredibly timely, and we’re excited for a new audience to discover it!
