Season 3 of The Pitt is happening! HBO Max renewed the show even before Season 2 aired. Similar to Season 1, which all took place on one day in September, Season 2 was set during a particularly busy and chaotic 15-hour shift on July 4th at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s emergency room.

In season 2 of The Pitt, Noah Wyle’s Dr. Robby wasn’t the only doctor in charge of the ER. Sepideh Moafi joined the cast as Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, a new attending physician. Although Robby is hesitant about Al-Hashimi taking over during his leave, it soon becomes apparent that she’s dealing with significant personal issues.
