Joséphine Jobert, who played Florence Cassell on Death in Paradise for almost ten years, quickly became a popular actress with viewers. It’s no surprise many fans were disappointed when she decided to leave the show.
Even though Florence has made a few brief appearances, including a notable return in season 13, many fans are still curious if she might return to Saint Marie again someday.
Remembering her enjoyable experience on the show and while discussing her upcoming lead role in ‘Saint-Pierre,’ TopMob directly asked Jobert if she would ever consider returning to ‘Death in Paradise.’
“No – I get that question everyday on my social media,” Jobert said.

It was a lot of going back and forth, and honestly, I just started asking myself what I even wanted. I felt like I’d had enough, and it was time to move on.
When asked if she still follows the show and its storylines now that Don Gilet is the lead actor, Jobert replied that she does – she follows the cast on Instagram and likes all their posts to show her support. However, she isn’t in regular contact with all of the actors.
I still hear from Shantol Jackson every now and then – usually about once a year we’ll just check in with each other. She’s truly wonderful, one of the most amazing people I know, and I really cherish our connection.
Since the show Saint-Pierre is filmed directly in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, TopMob suggested Jackson might visit Jobert while she’s working in Canada. Jobert responded with a laugh, saying, “That would be great!” and then added, “Or maybe I could have him as a guest on the show!”
Naomi Jackson plays DS Naomi Thomas, and it would be fantastic to see her reunite with Alix Jobert on Jobert’s new show, Saint-Pierre. Hopefully, that will happen!
Jobert is thrilled for her UK fans to see her latest role after leaving ‘Death in Paradise’. While the show ‘Saint-Pierre’ is already airing its second season, it’s now available on U&Alibi, giving British viewers their first chance to see Jobert play the strong-willed Deputy Chief Geneviève ‘Arch’ Archambault.
I was so thrilled to hear that Saint-Pierre is finally coming to the UK! I’ve been a huge fan of the show since we were filming, and honestly, I couldn’t wait for viewers across the pond to experience it too. I remember saying on set how eager I was for my UK fans to finally get a chance to watch it.
I wasn’t sure if the show would be picked up in the UK, so I was thrilled when it was! I’d been getting messages on Instagram and direct messages every day from fans asking where they could watch it, saying it wasn’t fair they couldn’t. They were so sweet! I’m really excited to finally share that UK viewers will now be able to watch the show – it’s fantastic news.
