Pokemon: Horizons Shares First Preview For Next Arc

After many years, Ash Ketchum is no longer the main character in the Pokemon anime. Now, Liko and Roy are leading the adventures in Pokemon: Horizons. The anime has always drawn inspiration from the Pokemon video games on Nintendo consoles, and as one story arc finishes, a new one is beginning. A first look reveals what’s next for Liko and Roy, and it might be unexpected for fans hoping to see a storyline based on a traditional Nintendo game.

The next chapter of Pokemon: Horizons is called “Wonder Voyage” and will begin on May 22nd, continuing the story of Roy and Liko. Previously, they faced challenges at Blueberry Academy while two groups, the Rising Volt Tacklers and the Explorers, were constantly clashing. Currently, the series is wrapping up the “Rising Hope” arc, which has mainly followed the Tacklers as they try to prove their innocence and defeat a new villainous team that rivals Team Rocket. Although details about “Wonder Voyage” are still emerging, newly released artwork confirms Liko and Roy will be back, and suggests Ditto will play a more prominent role.

I just saw the announcement for the new Pokémon series, “Pocket Monsters: Wonder Voyage,” and it looks amazing! It’s starting on May 22nd and follows the adventures of a new pair, Rico and Roy. They’ve released a key visual that’s got everyone talking – is that Metamon I see? And who is the girl at the center of it all? I can’t wait to find out! It’s going to be a Pokémon adventure worth watching! #Pokemon

Pokemon’s Anime Meets Pokopia?

The newest Pokémon game, Pokémon Pokopia, is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s a unique entry where players experience the game as a Ditto disguised as a human within a digital world. Released earlier this year, the game centers around building your surroundings and utilizing the skills of various Pokémon. Because this world is so different from the one Liko and Roy inhabit, it’s understandable that adapting the anime to fit has been a challenge. While Ditto’s specific role hasn’t been confirmed yet, its prominent appearance in promotional materials suggests it will be important to the anime’s main characters.

Fans in Japan have been watching Pokémon: Horizons episodes every week, but viewers in the West have been waiting longer to continue the story after Ash Ketchum. New episodes usually become available on Netflix in batches, with Pokémon: Horizons Season Three – Rising Hope Part 2 being the most recent release. It arrived in March, and while there’s no confirmed release date yet, we might find out when it’s coming to North America soon, as this story arc is ending and a new one, Wonder Voyage, is about to begin.
