Released in 2023, The Amazing Digital Circus has quickly become a massive hit as an online animated series. To demonstrate its popularity, the final episode will be shown in movie theaters through a partnership with Fathom Entertainment. Pre-sale numbers for the June 4th event are already breaking Fathom’s records, and due to high demand, the theatrical release is expanding to include more countries, allowing fans worldwide to see the series conclude.
The ninth episode of The Amazing Digital Circus will eventually be available to watch online for free, but fans around the world have been eager to see it in theaters. Thankfully, Fathom and Glitch Productions have listened to those requests. The finale was already planned for North America and other countries, and now it will be shown in even more places! Currently, “The Last Act” is confirmed to be playing in theaters in France, Belgium, and Uruguay. In fact, fans in Uruguay recently started a campaign to bring the episode to their local cinemas, and their wish came true! The Digital Circus Controversy
Some fans are excited that The Amazing Digital Circus is finishing its theatrical run, but others are disappointed the last episode will be shown in cinemas before it’s available online. Kevin Lerdwichagul, CEO of Glitch Productions, has assured fans he did everything possible to balance their concerns with his goal of bringing The Amazing Digital Circus to the big screen in a groundbreaking way.
Lerdwichagul believes this event could be a turning point for the entire independent animation industry. Successfully bringing a YouTube animated series to thousands of theaters worldwide would create opportunities for many creators and new projects, shaping the future of original storytelling. He emphasized that reaching this milestone has been incredibly challenging.
