After a five-year wait, Netflix is now streaming a fantastic anime series that many fans missed when it first came out! Netflix has significantly expanded its anime offerings in recent years, bringing both new and existing shows to the platform. This is giving many of these series a chance to find a much larger audience and enjoy renewed popularity.
One really cool science fiction anime that didn’t get much attention is Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song. It was created by WIT Studio – known for popular shows like Attack on Titan and Ranking of Kings – and written by the author of the hit light novel series Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World. It’s a story about AI and the future, and it’s available to stream on Netflix.
Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song Now Streaming on Netflix

Released in 2021, Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song is a complete, self-contained story told across 13 episodes. The science fiction series, created by Shinpei Ezaki (WIT Studio) and written by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, skillfully blends several exciting concepts. It takes place in a future where artificial intelligence is widespread, but limited to single, specific tasks. The story introduces Diva, the very first AI with complete independence.
Diva dreams of becoming a famous singer, but her world is turned upside down when she encounters an AI from the future. This AI reveals that artificial intelligence will eventually rebel and destroy humankind. Faced with this grim warning, Diva starts to question her own ambitions and sets out to prevent this disastrous future. The series is full of unexpected twists and blends sci-fi action, mystery, and the excitement of idol performances into a unique and captivating story.
What Happened to Vivy’s Fluorite Eye’s Song?

The anime’s initial lack of attention wasn’t due to its quality, but rather unfortunate timing. It launched as an original series in Winter 2021, when the anime industry was still recovering from the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many projects delayed from 2020 were finally being released, creating a crowded schedule. As a result, it was hard for new, original stories to stand out and gain traction.
Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song is packed with exciting action and explores interesting ideas about artificial intelligence. Though it felt innovative when it first came out, this new release on Netflix is a great chance for more people to discover it.
