It’s still so hard to believe Annie’s gone. Just thinking about her makes me miss her so much! I was remembering some of the times I got to work with her over the years, and it really hit me how much she taught me. It’s only been a few months since January, and I’m still processing everything. She was just… incredible.

Bryan Cranston shared in a TikTok video with Esquire on April 16th that he deeply misses Catherine. He explained that he learned from her, over many years, how to fully commit to comedic performance and then relax and be herself when not working. She wasn’t someone who felt the need to be ‘on’ and funny all the time, even off camera.

The Emmy-winning actress, who worked with O’Hara on shows like 30 Rock and The Studio, described her as someone who carefully timed her performances. She’d build anticipation, and then deliver her lines with energy and precision.

Plus, the actor from Beetlejuice wasn’t afraid to improvise or experiment with unusual ideas if it meant getting a laugh.

Cranston explained that she was always proactive and engaged, frequently approaching him with ideas and suggestions, often asking, ‘What if we tried this?’

Throughout his Emmy-winning career, the 70-year-old O’Hara consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to deeply connect with and develop his characters, a talent he’d repeatedly showcase.

It was a true joy to work with Catherine O’Hara for so many years – her talent was incredible. After spending over fifty years working with my dad, Catherine felt like family long before she ever played one on screen. It’s hard to imagine life without her. I’ll always treasure the funny moments we shared, and my thoughts are with Bo, Matthew, Luke, and her entire wonderful family.

Both that day and during a shoot for Away We Go, she was incredibly kind to everyone, from the director to the assistants. She truly lit up a room – she was radiant, almost otherworldly. Her talent was unique; there’s never been anyone like her, and there never will be. She was a genius and a beautiful person.

Catherine was an extraordinary person – kind, honest, intelligent, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was strikingly beautiful, full of life, and deeply cared about people, which shone through in everything she did. Her wisdom, clarity, and strong character made her truly special. It feels like all those who inspired her are now eager to learn from her. We’re heartbroken here, and she’ll be deeply missed, especially now. Rest peacefully, dear friend.
