The new anime open-world game, NTE: Neverness to Everness, is designed to showcase the power of the PS5 Pro. It will use advanced technology – specifically PSSR2 – to deliver a clear, stable 4K picture at a smooth 60 frames per second, without any visual shimmer.
A recent post on the PlayStation Blog details the upcoming PS5 exclusive game. It explains that the game will take full advantage of the PS5’s powerful hardware to offer improved graphics, including sharper visuals and features like realistic fog and advanced lighting effects.
Volumetric fog creates a realistic mist effect. Distance Field Ambient Occlusion is a technique that improves shadows and shading by considering the entire 3D environment, resulting in a more natural and detailed look.
We got to try an early version of this game on a standard PlayStation 5 and were very impressed with how smoothly it ran and looked. It’s a huge improvement over the team’s previous game, Tower of Fantasy, which wasn’t made for consoles by the original developers.
DualSense Also Fully Supported on PS5
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, producer Kee Zhang announced that the new game will fully utilize the DualSense controller’s features, including:
- Haptic Feedback
- Feel the weight of every combat strike and the intensity of key story moments through precision vibrations.
- Adaptive Triggers
- Experience the physical resistance of braking and the surge of acceleration as you drive through the city.
- Light Bar Effects
- We’ve integrated unique light bar effects for specific characters – we’ll let you discover those for yourself at launch.
NTE announced a partnership with Persona 5 Royal during a livestream this weekend. They also revealed the game will feature first-person dating and a large amount of content available immediately upon its release on April 29th.
