Daisy Duke is hitting the road in Nashville.
Catherine Bach, best known for playing Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard, was recently spotted enjoying an evening out in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 72-year-old actress, dressed in a red blouse, blue jeans, and leather boots similar to what her famous character wore, had dinner at Halls Chophouse with her friend Abbie Celis.
Catherine shared an Instagram photo of her and a friend in front of a restaurant on April 9th, writing, ‘We’re more than friends—we’re family!’
The actress shared a photo of herself with the person, simply writing “FAMILY” with a heart emoji in the caption.
Catherine’s outing comes nearly six months after her costars shared that she had been hospitalized.
According to a Facebook post by Ben Jones, who played Cooter Davenport on The Dukes of Hazzard, Catherine Bach was recently hospitalized in Los Angeles due to an embolism. Parade reports that the embolism likely occurred following a recent surgical procedure.
As many of you know, there’s been some concern about Catherine recently. I just got off the phone with her—or rather, texted—and I’m happy to share she’s doing okay! She’s currently in the hospital, but she personally assured me she’s going to be just fine. It was such a relief to hear from her directly and know she’s on the mend.

The actor, who portrayed Bo Duke during the show’s seven season, added, “We love you, Catherine!”
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE it! Even after all these years, Catherine is still friends with everyone from the show! It’s so amazing! I just found out she went to John’s wedding – can you even imagine?! – to Dee Dee Sorvino, just this year, in 2024! It makes my heart so happy to know they’ve stayed so close.
Commenting on the show’s lasting appeal in a Fox News interview, she explained that television is unpredictable. ‘You just never know what will become popular or why,’ she said of The Dukes of Hazzard.

Catherine joked that she still wears her famous denim shorts – you just have to catch her gardening at home to see them!
“Or the beach,” she playfully noted. “I’ll be honest, at the beach.”

I was absolutely devastated when I heard about Antonio Banderas’ heart attack back in 2019! Thankfully, he pulled through, and honestly, I think it was the best thing that could have happened. He went back home to Málaga, Spain, and is finally getting to really focus on what he loves – the stage! It’s just amazing to see him doing what makes him happy, and I’m so excited for all his future theater work. I’ve been following his career for years, and this feels like a beautiful new chapter.
In March 2026, Antonio told The Times that the experience completely changed his perspective on life. Confronting his own mortality led him to reflect and recognize his core identity as an actor.
The Tony Award nominee, who still acts in TV and movies sometimes, now owns a theater and actively participates in community events.
He went on to say he’d never felt happier. Staying connected to his community—his roots, his neighbors, and the people he grew up with—was incredibly important to him. He hadn’t lost that connection over time; in fact, it had grown stronger.

After 19 seasons, The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended in 2022 following accusations of a negative and harmful workplace. These claims led to an internal investigation, the dismissal of several executives, and widespread public criticism.
Ellen made a comeback with her last standup comedy special, For Your Approval, which premiered on Netflix in September 2024. Before the special aired, she announced her plans to retire from Hollywood.
During her Ellen’s Last Stand…Up tour, Ellen DeGeneres told the audience that she plans to retire after her upcoming Netflix special, marking her final performance, according to SFGate.
Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have settled in the Cotswolds. Ellen shared with Richard Bacon in July 2025, during a conversation at the Everyman theater in Cheltenham, that they decided to remain there after Donald Trump won reelection in November 2024.
She raved about the English countryside, telling the BBC it was “absolutely beautiful” and unlike anything she was used to. She especially loved the charming villages, towns, and architecture, noting it represented a more relaxed and simple way of life.
“It’s just a nicer place,” Ellen explained. “The animals are well cared for, and everyone is so friendly. We really love living here. We moved in November, which wasn’t the best timing, but I finally got to experience snow! Portia brought her horses with her, I have chickens, and we even had sheep for a short while—about two weeks.”

Tyra Banks, the host of America’s Next Top Model, decided to move to Australia partly to focus on her ice cream company, SMiZE and Dream. She explained on Today with Jenna & Friends that her business had been primarily supplying ice cream to places like airplanes and cruise ships, and she was frequently traveling to Australia where a large production facility was making her recipes. She grew to love the country with each visit.
Banks also realized Australia was a promising market for her product, noting that the three countries that consume the most ice cream are America, New Zealand, and Australia.
She ultimately relocated to Australia with her son, York (whose father is her ex, Erik Asla), and her boyfriend, Louis Bélanger-Martin, saying Australia has been a wonderful experience for her and her family.

Eva Longoria, known for her role on Desperate Housewives, has moved from Los Angeles and now divides her time between Mexico and Spain. In a November 2024 interview with Marie Claire, she explained that while she spent her adult life in LA, the city had changed, and the pandemic accelerated her decision to leave. She cited issues like homelessness and taxes, but emphasized she doesn’t want to criticize California, she simply feels this chapter of her life is over.
Longoria, her husband José Bastón, and their son Santiago have been living abroad for a few years. She acknowledges her privilege to be able to move, expressing anxiety and sadness for those who can’t escape what she describes as a difficult situation in the US.
However, she clarified in a November 2024 appearance on The View: Behind the Table that her move wasn’t politically motivated, despite speculation following the presidential election. She explained that work commitments—including filming Land of Women in Spain and Searching for Mexico in Mexico—led to an extended stay abroad, and she dislikes the idea of her decision being politicized.
Despite the move, Longoria remains busy with her career, recently appearing in Only Murders in the Building and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip.

Actor Richard Gere has relocated from Chicago to Spain with his family. He shared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November 2024 that his wife, Alejandra Silva, who is from Galicia, Spain, encouraged the move, and they plan to live in Madrid for several years. Gere is excited about the opportunity for their sons, Alexander and James, to thrive in a bilingual environment. He also has an adult son, Homer, from a previous relationship with Carey Lowell. Gere told Elle España in January 2025 that the whole family is doing well and is happier than ever, feeling a real positive momentum in their lives.

Singer Christina Milian and her family have officially made Paris their home. Married to French singer Matt Pokora for over seven years, they previously spent six months of each year commuting between the U.S. and France. They decided to fully relocate so their children – Violet (from a previous marriage), and sons Isaiah and Kenna – could attend school in France. Milian feels it’s a wonderful opportunity for them to learn the language and experience a new culture. She shared with TopMob that her kids are thriving, she enjoys an active lifestyle, and she’s able to balance work with family life effectively. She says the move has created a healthy and happy environment for everyone.

Lindsay Lohan is frustrated by the ongoing speculation surrounding her departure from Los Angeles. She recently explained that a busy work life and constant partying in the early 2000s were often overshadowed by intense media attention.
“It was annoying how paparazzi and that kind of stuff overshadowed my work when I was younger,” Lohan told Bustle in March 2024. “I wish that hadn’t happened. It took on a life of its own, and that’s why I wanted to get away. I needed the focus to be on my work, and that wasn’t happening as long as there was a constant story to chase.”
Lindsay moved overseas, first to London and then to Dubai, even opening beach clubs in Greece. But the desire to escape the spotlight was also a major reason for seeking a new life abroad.
I used to worry so much about whether I’d ever find love, if that part of my life would just… never happen. It really took focusing on myself and taking some time for me before things started to shift and I started getting the opportunities I truly wanted. Thankfully, I did find love with Bader Shammas, and we got married in 2022. We’re so happy and welcomed our son, Luai, last year! We’re living in Dubai now, but I’m still working in Hollywood – I’ve been in a few movies recently like Our Little Secret, Irish Wish, and even a sequel, Freakier Friday!

As someone who’s observed a lot of shifts in how people live their lives, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to prioritize what truly matters. Recently, I was really struck by Josh’s story. He realized Hollywood, while exciting, had become a bit of an echo chamber. He told People magazine that being surrounded by constant talk of the industry was limiting, and he craved a more balanced life. He wanted to be around people with diverse interests, something that would challenge him and spark personal growth – he called it ‘the spice of life!’ So, he and his wife, Tamsin Egerton, made a big move with their four children to the beautiful Hampshire countryside in England. He shared with The Guardian that while it might seem like life slowed down, actually, more of what truly mattered was happening. It’s a beautiful reminder that sometimes, less really is more. And despite the change of pace, he’s still working! He’s appeared in films like Verity, Fight or Flight, and Trap, proving you can have a fulfilling career and a grounded life.

Many fans may not realize Jesse no longer lives in Los Angeles. In a February 2025 interview with CBS News Sunday Morning, the star of A Real Pain revealed he’s lived in Indiana for the past ten years, finding it a more comfortable environment. He explained he prefers to avoid the instability he associates with the entertainment industry.
Despite being an Oscar nominee, Jesse lives a relatively normal life with his wife, Anna Strout, and their son, Banner. He stays off social media and doesn’t spend much time networking with people in the industry. He shared that his family life—his wife’s job as a teacher and his son’s lack of interest in movies—keeps him grounded and removed from constantly worrying about his place in Hollywood.

Eliza Dushku, known for roles in shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the movie Bring It On, announced in September 2024 that she’s now a certified psychedelic-assisted therapist and is continuing her education in the field of mental health.
You know, I reached a point where I could really refocus my life on my own well-being, and that led me to wanting to help others do the same. It feels incredibly important to me now to share what I’ve learned on this journey – the peace, the passion, and the total transformation I’ve experienced. It’s become so clear to me that this is what I’m meant to do, my true calling.

The actress best known for playing a character on The Flintstones shared that she relocated to Ireland in January 2025 with her son, Clay. She’s now working to become an Irish citizen because of her family’s roots there. While she mentioned current political issues as a factor in her move, she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of returning to her home country someday.
Honestly, it’s been so hard being away from my other children and my friends. I really miss so much about my life back home. I’m working on building a new life here, in this beautiful country, but my heart is still tied to America. We’re hoping to return as soon as it’s a place where everyone has the same rights and can feel safe – that’s what we’re waiting for.

In a June 2024 Instagram post, Evangeline shared how happy and satisfied she is with her life, saying she’s living her dream. She expressed gratitude for everything she has and explained that while choosing a less conventional path – prioritizing purpose over money and fame – can be daunting, it ultimately leads to a much more fulfilling life.
However, she’s not ruling out a return to Hollywood completely, saying, “I could see myself going back someday, but right now, I’m happy where I am.”

Since finishing his role in the 2019 Netflix series V-Wars, the actor best known for The Vampire Diaries has been focusing on a personal mission: fighting climate change by working to improve soil health around the world.
Ian Somerhalder took a break from acting a little over four years ago to focus on raising his children, growing his businesses, and getting his films released. He told TopMob News in November 2023 that this included launching the 2020 documentary Kiss the Ground and its sequel, Common Ground, both of which highlight the importance of regenerative farming. He shares two children with his wife, Nikki Reed.
Looking ahead, the actor said he envisions himself as a rancher, focused on building lasting brands – like his bourbon and health company. He’s deeply committed to sustainable farming and healthy soil, principles his family also follows. He explained this is his long-term vision, and that’s why these issues are so important to him – it’s central to who he is and the life he’s building.

In a February 2021 episode of her podcast, Empty Inside, former iCarly star Jennette McCurdy told Anna Faris that she had quit acting a few years prior. She’s now pursuing writing and directing, alongside hosting the podcast.
Jennette shared that she regrets many of the acting roles she took in the past, detailing her feelings in her 2022 memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died. She explained she often feels dissatisfied with her career and found the parts she played to be cheesy and embarrassing. Having worked on those shows from ages 13 to 21, she was already feeling self-conscious by age 15, realizing her peers weren’t impressed by her television work.
Despite past experiences, she hasn’t ruled out returning to acting. She explained to TopMob News in October 2022 that writing her book helped her consider acting in a new light, free from the pressures she felt before. She believes the only way she might consider it again would be if she wrote a role specifically for herself.

It seemed like a pretty easy decision. The chance to marry Prince Harry, focus on the charities we care about, and wear the Queen’s beautiful tiaras would definitely make leaving Hollywood worthwhile.
Similar to Grace Kelly’s transition from Hollywood to Monaco, Meghan Markle left her life and acting career in Toronto—including her popular role on the show Suits—to join the British Royal Family. Now that she and Prince Harry have stepped down as senior royals and live in California, Meghan is returning to professional life. This includes a production deal with Netflix, where she released the 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan and plans to launch a lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, in 2025. She has also started a podcast and launched her brand, As Ever.

After starring in over 40 films since she began her career with 1994’s The Mask, the actress really needed a rest when she finished filming Annie in 2014.
She told Gwyneth Paltrow that she realized she wanted a different lifestyle. After years of intense work and filmmaking, she felt burnt out. She explained that making a movie is incredibly demanding – it requires long hours and complete dedication, leaving no room for personal life.
Cameron Diaz had many interests she wanted to pursue, including writing – she followed up her successful book, The Body Book, with The Longevity Book – and starting a family with her husband, Benji Madden. Though she told InStyle magazine in 2019 that she didn’t miss acting and was focused on wellness, she seemed open to the possibility of returning for at least one more project.
Jamie Foxx explained to TopMob News that convincing Cameron Diaz to star in the 2025 Netflix movie Back in Action involved a lot of pleading. “We basically begged her,” he said, “asking her to do ‘one more’ film.” He added that everyone loves Diaz and has been eagerly awaiting her return, and that the movie is going to be great.

The actor stated firmly that he wouldn’t return to the show after completing his five years on Empire. When Extra asked Terrence Howard about his plans before the sixth and final season aired in 2019, he said, “I’m finished with acting. I’m done with pretending.”
Despite appearing in a few projects since then, the Academy Award nominee announced his intention to retire from acting again in 2022 while promoting his Peacock series, The Best Man: The Final Chapters. He explained to Entertainment Tonight that he feels he’s given everything he has to offer as an actor and now wants to focus on watching and supporting new talent, rather than simply repeating performances he’s done before.
Even with those past issues, Howard has continued to act, appearing in shows like Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist and the Netflix movie Shirley. He also has several new projects planned.

After his character, King Joffrey, died on the show in 2014, the 21-year-old actor told EW he was leaving acting. He explained that he’d been working since he was eight years old and simply wasn’t enjoying it as much anymore.
It’s just…seeing him grow up is bittersweet, you know? He used to be so effortlessly charming, that childhood sparkle. He admitted things are different now that people are talking about him making a career out of it. He always did it because he loved it, goofing around with his friends, just having fun in the summer. He still enjoys it, honestly! But he explained it’s not the same when something you love becomes work. It’s not that he dislikes it at all, it’s just…he doesn’t want that pressure, that change. I totally get it, though it breaks my heart a little!
After a six-year hiatus, Jack returned to acting in 2020 with a role in the BBC series Out of Her Mind. Since then, he’s also been in films such as Rebecca’s Boyfriend and In the Land of Saints and Sinners, and TV shows including Safe Harbor and The Famous Five.

After becoming famous for her role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Jennifer Aniston married actor Kevin Kline in 1989. They decided to stagger their work schedules so they could both be available to care for their children, Owen and Greta, who is now a singer known as Frankie Cosmos. Kline shared this arrangement with Playboy magazine.
He also noted that Phoebe consistently prioritizes staying home with her children when it’s her turn to work. While she briefly appeared in her friend Jennifer Jason Leigh’s 2001 film, The Anniversary Party, Cates mainly focuses on running her New York City store, Blue Tree.

Despite not appearing in a live-action movie since 1997 – he even turned down a small role in the 2016 Ghostbusters remake – Rick remains a beloved figure, as shown by the strong reaction to news of an assault he experienced while walking in New York City in 2020.
Good news for fans: he’s returning to the screen with Josh Gad in the upcoming Disney reboot, Shrunk.

After marrying fashion designer Adam Kimmel in 2010, actress Drew Barrymore suggested she was considering stepping back from acting. She told Vogue that most acting roles require a lot of intimate scenes, and she wasn’t interested in that. She explained that while her relationship was solid, she needed a truly exceptional role to justify taking on potentially difficult material – something worthwhile on the other side of that challenge.
After her son, Martin, joined his sister, Louisanna, in 2014, she firmly decided to step away from acting. She told Us Weekly in 2016 that she felt like an outsider and was now completely focused on being a mom. She also helps her husband, Kimmel, with his work and enjoys painting as a hobby, explaining that her children were the main reason she stopped pursuing film roles.

She’d built a successful career with shows like Ally McBeal, Nip/Tuck, Arrested Development, and Scandal. After those experiences, the Australian actress felt she was finally ready to try something new.
As I was nearing 45, I started thinking about shaking things up. I’d had a wonderful career in acting, but I felt like I knew what the next decade or two would look like. I really wanted a new challenge, something completely different I hadn’t tackled before. So, I made the bold decision to step away from acting and dive into the world of business. It felt like the right time for a fresh start!
Her company, General Public, which creates art for everyone, was almost complete – she just needed to finish one final piece.
I spoke with Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development, and told him I was done with acting, so I wouldn’t be in a potential season five. He was very understanding and supportive, and we had a good talk. Surprisingly, he ended up writing me into five episodes anyway.

Okay, I get it, but it still breaks my heart! After winning THREE Oscars, I guess Daniel Day-Lewis decided he’d pretty much done acting. It was right after getting nominated for his sixth Oscar, for Phantom Thread in 2017. His people just put out this statement – so formal! – saying he was retiring and thanking everyone. He said it was a private decision, and that was it. No more explanations, no more interviews… just gone. It’s like, how can someone so brilliant just stop? I’m still hoping it’s just a really long break, honestly. But the statement… it sounded so final. I just keep rewatching his films, trying to soak up every moment. It’s just… devastating.
You know, I thought Daniel Day-Lewis had truly retired! But it seems family ties—and creative ones—are strong. I was so surprised to hear that in October 2024, Focus Features announced he’s starring in a new film called Anemone. What’s even more special is that he actually wrote the script with his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, who is also directing! It’s wonderful to see such a strong collaboration between generations.

After finding fame on Good Luck Charlie, she decided to focus on her education in 2018. She went on to earn both a master’s degree and a PhD from MIT, and later attended Harvard Law School.
On top of everything else, Bridgit started her own company, Northwood Space, in February 2023. The company is building ground stations to facilitate communication with satellites, and Bridgit is serving as its CEO.
