Capcom has pushed a new Pragmata update live today that adds official support for PSSR2 on PS5 Pro.
There was some misunderstanding after Digital Foundry’s technical analysis led people to believe the game was already using the improved technology. However, the game’s publisher clarified that this new update officially enables and demonstrates the upgraded PSSR feature on social media.
It appears Pragmata was initially utilizing only the system enhancements introduced with the new settings option on the PS5 Pro, and was being tested with those features. With today’s update, Pragmata now has full, official support for PSSR2.
Here’s the example Capcom provided:
Before today’s announcement, Digital Foundry reported that the PS5 Pro would significantly improve image quality by taking a picture at 864p and increasing it to 2160p. Now that the console officially supports PSSR2 technology, they may re-evaluate their findings with additional testing on PS5 games.
Pragmata has quickly become a hit, selling over a million copies in its first few days! Critics and players alike seem to love it. Our review awarded it 8/10, and we described it as “a fantastic action game that’s incredibly fun to play.”
