La Toya Jackson Feeling “Strong” After Sharing Recent Health Concerns

How is La Toya Jackson feeling? You can’t beat it.

Following her older brother Michael Jackson’s passing, his sister recently revealed she’s overcome a difficult period with her health, after sharing details of several hospital stays last year.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was there at the premiere of the Michael movie, and I actually got to hear La Toya say it herself! She told Will Marfuggi from TopMob News that she’s doing amazing – she said she’s feeling really good, strong, and just genuinely happy. It was incredible to witness, honestly! She just seemed so at peace.

The 69-year-old woman was feeling joyful because she was about to watch a film about her late brother’s early career, and a member of her family was portraying him. The movie, Michael, stars Jaafar Jackson – Jermaine Jackson’s son – as the iconic pop star and tells the story of his incredible rise to fame after leaving The Jackson 5.

The film delves into Michael’s early musical career with his family band, which included his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Tito Jackson, who sadly passed away in 2024 at the age of 70.

“It feels amazing,” La Toya said. “It’s just wonderful to see how everything turned out, and to see Jafaar.”

As a huge fan, I was so touched to hear that someone who knew Michael personally was impressed with Jaafar Jackson’s performance! She really emphasized how much he captured the essence of her brother, and it meant a lot to hear her say that he truly wowed her. Knowing how much Michael meant to her, her praise is incredibly special.

La Toya said she loved the movie, calling it “absolutely fantastic.” She added that the actor really captured the essence of her brother, and she couldn’t be prouder.

Meanwhile, it was a trip in and of itself to relive Michael’s early career.

La Toya explained that watching old footage brings back a flood of memories. While some moments are emotional and bring tears to your eyes, it’s a good way to reconnect with forgotten thoughts and feelings. Over time, details fade, but seeing them replayed on screen is like rediscovering them. She said, ‘It’s like, ‘Oh, I remember that!”

Although the singer of “Night Time Lover” was happy with how the movie turned out – it opens in theaters on April 24th – she hinted that there’s still much more to her brother’s life story that hasn’t been shared.

“There’s so much more that has to be or needs to be told,” she added. “I hope they tell it.”

While Michael is a great choice for a movie night, there are plenty of other exciting films coming out soon. Keep scrolling to find your next must-see movie!
