Prime Video is releasing the final season of its popular show, The Boys, with season five bringing the story to a close. But there’s plenty more to look forward to on the streaming service, including shows like Invincible, Young Sherlock, Fallout, and The Night Manager. Now, Prime Video has announced the return of its most costly thriller, and they’ve shared a new trailer – plus, it’s coming out very soon!
Prime Video’s spy thriller, Citadel, originally premiered in 2023 and was quickly renewed for a second season. Production was initially delayed due to the Writers’ Strike, pushing the release from 2024 to 2025, but it faced further setbacks. Now, the second season is finally here, launching on May 6th. A new trailer is available below, giving fans a first look at what’s in store.
Citadel Returns With Some New Faces

Citadel’s first season focused on three central characters: Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), and Mason Kane (Richard Madden). The story followed Bernard recruiting Mason, and then both of them teaming up with Nadia to fight the dangerous organization known as Manticore. For season two, these three are back, along with Lesley Manville and Ashleigh Cummings, but they’ll need to gather more allies to defeat a new, even greater threat from Manticore.

The new team features Jack Reynor as Hutch, Matt Berry as Franke Sharpe, and Lina El Arabi as Celine. Merle Dandridge, Gabriel Leone, and Rayna Vallandingham are also joining the cast.
The trailer suggests Bernard will be involved in more action this season. While the new team members will all have important moments, Hutch appears to be a key player in the overall story.

The series Citadel boasts a large team of executive producers, including Anthony Russo, Angelo Russo-Otstod, Scott Nemes (from AGBO), Joe Russo, Greg Yaitanes (who also directed), and David Well (who also serves as showrunner). Additionally, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg from Midnight Radio are executive producers, alongside Chris Castaldi, Debra James, Newton Thomas Sigel, Bryan Oh, Natalie Laine Williams, David J. Rosen, and Patrick Moran. Details about season 2 are available below.

Citadel is a fast-paced spy series centered on Mason Kane, Nadia Sinh, and Bernard Orlick—highly skilled agents of a once-powerful intelligence agency that was taken down by a dangerous organization called Manticore, funded by the world’s wealthiest families. When a new crisis arises, these agents are forced back into the field. They must assemble a team of talented recruits and embark on a worldwide mission to prevent a conspiracy that threatens the future of humankind. Expect thrilling action, unexpected twists, and a growing cast of enigmatic characters, where no one can be fully trusted.
Citadel season 2 will release all seven episodes on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
