Jelly Roll knows that sometimes the wheels fall off.
Jason Bradley DeFord, 41, has worked hard to lose weight, dropping almost 300 pounds in recent years. However, he recently experienced a setback shortly after appearing on the cover of Men’s Health magazine this past fall.
In a YouTube video posted on April 17th, Jelly explained that reaching a goal right before the holidays led to a bit of a setback. He said, ‘I’d worked really hard for three years to lose weight, so I decided to enjoy the holidays and not worry about it.’
On top of enjoying his Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, Jelly also fractured his collarbone in December.
He explained that the injury forced him to stop all physical activity for a while, and that experience made him feel lost and off track.
Jelly had dreamed of being on the cover of Men’s Health for years, and he finally achieved it. However, he wasn’t quite at his ideal weight for the photoshoot and wanted to continue improving. After a break from training, he believed he was still 40 to 60 pounds away from his fitness goal.
He confessed he hadn’t checked his weight, explaining he’d been deliberately avoiding the scale because he was worried about how far he was from his target weight.

To motivate himself, Jelly has set two big goals: completing the New York City Marathon in November 2026 and appearing on the cover of a magazine without a shirt.
He explained his goals were to lose the final 40 or 50 pounds, and ultimately appear shirtless on the cover of a major magazine – something like GQ, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Forbes, or Time.
He admitted it was getting ridiculous, but he truly believed anyone could transform their life – even going from weighing 560 pounds to being confident enough to take their shirt off for a photo.
Jelly Roll first talked about his broken collarbone in March, explaining that he injured it while riding an ATV.

I was so excited to see him ride it again after the rebuild! He shared in a video that the first time out, he actually broke his collarbone. He admitted he was really scared to try again, but he knew if he waited too long, his fear would only get worse. It was inspiring to see him push through that!
The injury wasn’t just a setback for his workouts; Jelly also had to manage pain while attending the Grammys in February.
He remembered being at the Grammys with a broken collarbone, and it was incredibly painful. He said hugging people that week was awful – he didn’t complain, but each squeeze felt like it would make him burst into tears.
Thankfully, he was able to get back onto the proverbial saddle.
He explained that the problem wasn’t with the machine, but with how it was being used. Ultimately, it was a user error. He finished with a lighthearted message: don’t give up, and try again!

The country singer shared that his looks have caused him to question himself many times, even though he’s had a very successful career.
He explained in a February 2026 interview on The New York Times’ Popcast podcast that he was confident in his ability to perform well, put on a great show, and write songs people would love. However, he also admitted his biggest worry was being overlooked simply because of his appearance.
Luke says he’s struggling to get in shape, calling it a frustrating problem he can’t solve, but he doesn’t want to use weight-loss drugs like GLP-1s to help.
He said he’s more worried about the risks than excited about any potential rewards. He’s determined to lose weight, but he wants to do it in a healthy, sustainable way, not through a quick fix.
You know, everyone has their own reasons for doing what they do, and that’s totally fine. But for me personally, it’s all about pushing my own limits and striving for victory – it’s less about competing with others and more about bettering myself. It’s about conquering my own challenges and becoming the best version of me.

The Bravo host detailed his health and fitness journey using an Ozempic-like drug.
During a September 2025 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, the 57-year-old revealed he had lost a significant amount of weight this summer by using a GLP-1 medication. He explained that he’d been unhappy with his weight and, after discussing it with his doctor last year, decided to try the medication. His doctor had previously suggested it to address both his weight concerns and underlying health issues like plaque buildup in his arteries and high blood pressure, noting its broader health benefits. He ultimately agreed to start the treatment.
He explained that it really helped him manage his cravings, which had been a major struggle, and motivated him to be more consistent with his diet and exercise routine.

The singer shared in November 2024 that he had lost 120 pounds.
Jelly Roll explained that he openly discussed his personal challenges because he wanted to be honest with others about his struggles, as he shared on his wife Bunnie XO’s podcast, Dumb Blonde.
He explained that his success wasn’t because of his weight, but rather despite it, and he wanted everyone to understand that.

The talk show host has been feeling healthier lately. After learning she was pre-diabetic, she started focusing on her health and lost weight. She told People magazine that she’s been following her doctor’s advice – something she hadn’t done for a couple of years. She also mentioned that eating a protein-rich diet works well for her and she sticks to it most of the time.
She is a Texas girlie after all, “so I like meat—sorry, vegetarians in the world!”
The mother of River and Remington is settling into her new life in New York City and enjoying the change of pace. She joked that walking around the city is a great way to exercise, and she’s been trying out new wellness trends like infrared saunas and even recently gave in and got a cold plunge after friends convinced her.
She decided against taking the popular weight loss drugs many people are talking about. She explained on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2024 that her doctor had been encouraging her for two years, but she was hesitant due to existing thyroid issues. While many assume it was Ozempic, she clarified it was a different medication – one that helps her body process sugar, which isn’t happening naturally.

Everyone’s getting health advice from a media icon who’s feeling fantastic! She shared her secrets with Entertainment Tonight, explaining that it’s not just one thing that keeps her healthy—it’s a combination of everything she does, including treadmill workouts, hiking, drinking plenty of water, and eating nutritious foods.
Oh my gosh, you guys, Oprah is finally talking about how she’s been able to get healthy, and it’s EVERYTHING! She hasn’t said the name of the medicine, but she told People it feels like a total game-changer. Like, she’s been struggling with her weight for so long, and now there’s a real, doctor-approved option! She said it feels like a gift, honestly, and she’s SO over hiding and being judged for it. She’s done with the shame, from others and herself! It’s just… amazing to hear her say all of this. I’m so happy for her!

The HGTV personality demonstrated a remarkable life change by sharing details of his two-year fitness journey in an Instagram post from July 2023.
He explained that it’s easy to think you’re on the right path, but sometimes you need someone to steer you in a better direction to truly improve. While he used to occasionally do hot yoga with his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, he admitted he hadn’t been following a consistent workout plan, monitoring his diet, or getting any professional advice.
Nutritionist Sean Torbati emphasizes the importance of both healthy eating and regular exercise, like hot yoga – which he does once or twice a week – for overall well-being. He believes that staying motivated and persistent are key to success.
He knew everything changed when he truly prioritized his own health and well-being—not just for himself, but for his family and future. That’s when he fully committed and started working towards it!

The cohost of The View shared that she used Mounjaro, a drug for type 2 diabetes, to lose weight after gaining weight in 2021.
She revealed on a recent talk show that she once weighed close to 300 pounds. She explained that after using steroids in the past, she’s now lost weight with the help of a medication called Mounjaro, which she currently uses.

The Grammy-winning artist is aware people noticed her impressive physical transformation, which she achieved through a combination of diet, exercise, and a weight loss medication known as a GLP-1.
In a March 2025 Instagram post, she shared that she’s been feeling great after making significant changes to her lifestyle following her second pregnancy. These changes included working with a nutritionist, exercising with a trainer, and utilizing medication – specifically mentioning Mounjaro – along with other support systems.

The reality star is confident in herself, with or without anyone’s approval. She recently addressed rumors about weight loss, stating in an Instagram post that she hasn’t had any medical procedures to change her body.
I’m so proud of Myra! She’s worked incredibly hard, and it’s amazing to see her journey. She’s lost a total of 100 pounds, bringing her down from 385 to 285. It’s been especially tough since losing her mom, Babs Thore, last December, but she’s managed to lose another 50 pounds since then. She’s been holding steady at 285 for almost a year now, and I admire her dedication so much!
Simply put, she said she appreciated the compliments, but she doesn’t like to focus on appearances – either her own or anyone else’s.

The actress, known for her attractiveness everywhere from Cleveland to Los Angeles, recently shared her thoughts on body image in a thoughtful Instagram post last February.
The Food Network host shared a bikini photo from 2014 and talked about body image, explaining she weighs 150 pounds despite being 5’4″. She doesn’t weigh herself anymore, saying that societal standards of weight are arbitrary and that she used to let them bother her for too long.
Honestly, getting away from all the dieting rules has been amazing. I’ve finally realized who I truly am – a kind, funny, and thoughtful person! And it’s made me realize something really important: please don’t ever let your weight or size define you. Your character, who you are on the inside, is what really matters. You are absolutely enough, exactly as you are right now.
As for anyone that might not agree, she summed up, “F–k ‘em.”

The musician says he feels amazing and like a rockstar after losing 55 pounds. In an Instagram post from April 2023, he admitted people have been asking about his weight loss and how it’s affected his performances. He shared that he’s really enjoying performing and feels healthier than ever.
He explained that becoming a father in 2022 was a major turning point for him. He decided to quit soda and improve his diet, wanting to be healthy and around for his daughter for a long time. He plans to tackle quitting smoking and drinking next, but says he’s taking things one step at a time.

She admitted feeling a lot of pressure to lose weight after giving birth to her son, Sidney, in November 2022. She told TopMob News that losing 85 pounds became her main focus. She explained she was so determined because she simply wanted to avoid people talking about her body and be left alone.
She’s not suggesting everyone follow her intense plan, but she’s pleased with what she achieved. “It took a lot of effort, and honestly, it wasn’t fun,” she admitted. “I was constantly hungry, but seeing the results made it worthwhile.”

The actor, known for his role in Roseanne, has experienced many ups and downs with his health. He used to lose a significant amount of weight quickly, then fall back into unhealthy habits. As he explained in 2017, he’s now taking a different approach, focusing on gradual changes like exercise and staying active. He realizes that as he gets older, it’s important to keep moving.
He’s kept off 200 pounds by focusing on a healthy lifestyle: plenty of walking and a Mediterranean diet rich in fish, vegetables, and nuts. “It takes consistent effort,” he told Men’s Health, “but it’s work I enjoy.”

Following a type 2 diabetes diagnosis and the loss of his father and brother to heart attacks, the host of The Price Is Right decided to improve his diet and focus on healthier eating.
He told Entertainment Tonight his secret to staying in shape was cutting out all carbohydrates. That meant no bread, pasta, pizza, corn, beans, or even a single cracker! He mostly ate egg whites or Greek yogurt with a little fruit, and did a lot of cardio every day. He admitted to occasionally indulging, but generally stuck to a completely carb-free diet.
And to wash it all down, “I don’t drink anything but water,” he said. “No coffee, no tea, no soda.”

After losing an incredible 440 pounds, the star of 1000-lb Sisters has achieved some amazing new experiences, all shown on her TLC show. She’s now able to fly on airplanes, buckle her seatbelt comfortably, ride in the front seat of a car, go up in a hot air balloon, and enjoy rides at Disney World.
In a recent TikTok video, Slaton shared how much it means to her to be able to do everyday things like buckle a seatbelt without needing an extension. She explained that she hadn’t been able to manage simple tasks like that for years, and doesn’t take being able to do them for granted.
I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished,” the reality star explained. “I’ve lost the weight and I’m finally enjoying life, and that’s something to celebrate.

The former Vanderpump Rules star is focusing on health and wellness. Although she’s back on the Jenny Craig plan and hopes to see progress, she told TopMob News in February that her priority is being a good role model for her son. While losing weight would be nice, she wants to show her and Jax Taylor’s son, Cruz, how to live a healthy lifestyle.
The future star of The Valley explained, “I really want to model a healthy lifestyle for him. Taking care of my physical and mental health through exercise is a priority, and I believe starting that early is really beneficial.”

All her hard work and dedication to strength training has clearly paid off for the musician, resulting in a noticeably stronger and fitter physique.
In a 2023 interview with People magazine, the star shared how proud they are of their progress. They explained that fitness is now a key part of their life, and they’ve made a consistent commitment to regular exercise and their overall well-being.
She’s been working really hard, and mentioned she might start offering intense workout sessions, which she playfully calls ‘Hottie Bootcamp.’ These workouts are seriously challenging – think deadlifts, jump rope, lunges, and mountain climbers. In one video, she jokingly said the workout ‘burns so bad,’ but added she was seeing great results, especially in her legs.

After her daughter, Atlas, was born just months before the pandemic began in March 2020, the former Pretty Little Liars star admitted she felt incredibly unmotivated. She told TopMob News that with everything suddenly stopping, she just decided to let go of trying.
I’ve been following her journey, and honestly, it’s so relatable. She completely abandoned her workout routine and her usual balanced diet when things got chaotic in 2020. She admitted to just eating whatever she wanted – and it definitely caught up with her. She really misses feeling good and confident in her own skin, and I think a lot of us can understand that feeling.
She was excited but also a little unsure when she heard about Openfit’s 4 Weeks of Focus program led by trainer Kelsey Heenan.
After consistently starting her day for a month with warm water and lemon, plus a 30-minute workout – a mix of HIIT, cardio, and strength training – she was sold on the routine. She also focused on making healthier food choices, allowing herself treats while still adding nutritious ingredients. “I couldn’t believe how good I felt,” she said. “I’ve always been active, but I’d never lifted weights that heavy before – 40 or 50 pounds!”

The fitness influencer, known online as Fat Girl Fed Up, recently shared on Instagram that she hadn’t reached her weight loss goal of dropping below 200 pounds. However, she decided to focus on her progress and still had plenty to celebrate, proving she doesn’t let minor setbacks get her down.
She reminded herself that any step forward counts, even if it’s a small one. She acknowledged a lot of hard work this week and found comfort in the fact that losing weight takes time – she didn’t gain it all at once, so she won’t lose it overnight either. Her mantra was simple: just keep moving forward, regardless of the challenges.
She’s confident she can achieve her health goals. “I’m going to reach my ideal state,” she declared. “It might take a week or a year, but we’ll get there eventually. Just keep moving forward, believe in yourself, and focus on making progress, not striving for perfection.”

Driven to improve their fitness for more challenging gymnastics, the Queer Eye star successfully transformed their health and well-being.
I started working with a nutritionist back in April, and honestly, it’s been life-changing! I’ve lost 35 pounds, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. The biggest reason I wanted to make this change was for my gymnastics – it’s really important for my career, and I needed to adjust my body to perform at my best.
They did warn, though, not to expect immediate results. The author of Love That Story shared that it took three weeks of consistent effort before they noticed any difference. So, if you’re trying to make a change, be prepared to commit to working out and eating differently for about three weeks before you see results.

Before turning thirty in 2022, the former Disney Channel star decided to start a new workout plan.
The actor, who is married to model Barbara Palvin, shared a story on Instagram about how he used to be self-conscious about his body as a child and wore a shirt while swimming. He explained that this led him to decide in his late twenties to transform his physique and become very muscular. He captioned the post, ‘This is my meat head post.’
He said it was a tough journey getting in shape with weights and kettlebells, but he’s proud of how far he’s come and still has more goals to achieve.

Everyone has ups and downs, and life isn’t always flawless. This became clear when the actress openly shared on Instagram in January 2024 that she had regained about 13.6 kilograms after successfully reaching her weight goal of 75 kilograms back in 2020.
Wilson admitted she’s been struggling to maintain her healthy habits due to a busy filming schedule. She’d previously shared how much effort she’d put into overcoming emotional eating and switching to a diet richer in protein instead of carbohydrates.
Wilson confessed that stress caused them to gain weight, and while they knew they shouldn’t feel down about it, they admitted it still affected their self-esteem.

Giving up his favorite beers? Okay. And dedicating himself to intense daily workouts – like the P90X program, kickboxing, and running – as he told Men’s Journal? No problem.
For Chris Pratt, the most challenging aspect of his 60-pound weight loss—going from his role as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation to a superhero in Guardians of the Galaxy—was the massive amount of water he had to drink: one ounce for every pound he weighed.
“I was peeing all day long, every day,” he explained. “That part was a nightmare,”

Even though he was already somewhat known, like Cher Horowitz might say, the actor from Clueless realized people were surprised to learn he’d be playing Marvel’s newest hero, Ant-Man.
Paul Rudd recalled that when he was cast in the movie, many people were surprised, reacting with something like, ‘Paul Rudd as a superhero? Is that really happening?’ He shared this with Variety back in 2015.
He understood his task perfectly. He explained that he prepared like Chris Pratt does for action roles: cut out all enjoyable activities for a year, and then you can convincingly play the hero.

After having her older children, the author of the Just Eat book returned to the South Beach diet to help her feel like herself again. She told TopMob News that the protein-rich plan worked quickly. “I started the program, exercised, and immediately felt better,” she said.
As a lifestyle expert, one of the things I emphasize to new moms is the importance of truly savoring those early postpartum days. Honestly, weight loss should be the last thing on your mind! After you’ve had a baby, your priority is feeding that little one, showering them with love, and letting your body heal. Don’t let the pressure to ‘bounce back’ dictate your timeline. Your body is incredibly smart and will tell you when it’s ready to move more and focus on things like exercise. Forget what your head is telling you about losing weight – listen to your body. You’ll naturally feel when you have the energy to start being more active again.

He’s enjoyed the results of his workouts, especially getting into great shape. He’s been doing 90-minute training sessions and eating a much healthier diet – lots of lean protein and vegetables, and cutting out sugary drinks, as he told People magazine.
What really motivates me, and a lot of people I know, is having those big, exciting goals outside of work. For me, it’s all about experiences in the great outdoors. I’m currently focusing on getting into peak physical condition because I’m determined to tackle some serious rock climbing in Yosemite. But even bigger? I’m dreaming of hiking the entire Pacific Crest Trail – that incredible path stretching from Mexico to Canada along the American coast. It’s a massive undertaking, but that’s what makes it so appealing!

After giving birth to her daughter Kingsley in September 2022, the former Twilight star realized something important: she acknowledged in an Instagram post in January 2023 that her body had changed, and she was coming to terms with that.
If she ever feels overwhelmed, she has a coping mechanism that’s just as valuable as getting back into her exercise routine after having a baby.
She told TopMob News that looking into her daughter’s eyes – whom she affectionately calls her ‘sweet angel’ – helps her appreciate the good and stop focusing on her own flaws. It’s a trick she uses because it’s easy to be too hard on yourself, no matter what you do.
