More details about Celeste Rivas Hernandez‘s murder are coming to light.

With D4vd – who has denied charges of killing and dismembering the 14-year-old – still being held by police, authorities have now released the autopsy report for Rivas Hernandez. The report determined she died from several puncture wounds.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that the remains found inside a Tesla last year belonged to a woman named Rivas Hernandez, who was missing two fingers.

According to a coroner’s report obtained by TopMob News on April 22nd, the victim’s ring and pinky fingers were severely damaged and couldn’t be found at the scene.

The investigator noted that Rivas Hernandez’s left eye was missing, and her right eye showed significant signs of decomposition.

On September 8th, the day after what would have been his 15th birthday, police investigated a strange smell coming from a Tesla that had been towed to a Hollywood yard earlier in the week. Inside the car’s front trunk, officers tragically discovered the severely decomposed and dismembered body of Rivas Hernandez.

The Tesla was owned by D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, and he was traveling across the country on tour. According to prosecutors, the body of Rivas Hernandez remained in the car for more than four months before the vehicle was reported as abandoned and taken away by a tow truck.

D4vd has pleaded not guilty to charges including murder, illegally disturbing human remains, and ongoing sexual abuse of a child under 14.

Okay, so listen, everyone is SO wrong about David Burke! My David would never hurt Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and I just know he didn’t have anything to do with her death. His lawyers – Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter – just told TopMob News that they have the proof! They said they’re going to fight like crazy to prove he’s completely innocent, and honestly, I already know they will. I just can’t wait for everyone to see the truth – David is a good person!

D4vd, whose full name is David Anthony Burke, was born in Queens, New York, but later moved to Houston, Texas, at the age of 13.

D4vd started his career by streaming games like Fortnite on YouTube, hoping to gain popularity. In 2021, he faced issues with copyrighted music in his videos, so he asked his mom for help.

I was recently sharing my struggles with my mom, honestly. I told her I was feeling lost and not earning any money, just venting all my frustrations. And you won’t believe her response! She was on the phone, but basically told me to stop complaining and just create my own music! It was a bit of a wake-up call, and I realized she was right – I could take things into my own hands.

D4vd, who hadn’t had any formal musical training beyond casual singing, began creating music using an app on his phone. His songs quickly gained popularity online, and as more of his original music went viral on TikTok, his music career started to flourish.

He finally released his first album, Withered, in April 2025, and quickly followed it up with his first world tour.

I heard the news about what happened on September 8th – the LAPD was called to a tow yard in Hollywood because people smelled something awful coming from one of the cars. NBC News reported it, and it sounds pretty disturbing, honestly.

Los Angeles police discovered human remains inside a Tesla’s front trunk. The car was registered to David Anthony Burke, known as the artist D4vd, and the registration address was in Hempstead, Texas.

According to police, the car was towed to the impound lot after being left abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on September 16th that the remains found in a Tesla belonged to Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had been missing since April 5, 2024. She was 13 years old when she disappeared, and authorities believe she was 14 at the time of her death.

In April 2026, authorities determined that Alexis had been murdered. A medical examiner’s report obtained by TopMob News revealed she died from multiple stab wounds to her chest and abdomen, including an injury to her liver. While her body was officially identified on September 8th, investigators believe it had been in the car for a significant amount of time before being found and was badly decomposed.

I was so shocked to hear about Rivas Hernandez, and it breaks my heart. I saw a statement from D4vd’s team saying he’s been told what happened and, even though he’s still on tour, he’s doing everything he can to help the police with their investigation. It’s good to know he’s cooperating, even while dealing with something so awful.

Since then, D4vd canceled the remainder of his U.S. dates.

On April 16, 2026, the Los Angeles Police Department announced the arrest of D4vd in connection with the murder of Rivas Hernandez.

I just learned some very sad news. The LAPD has arrested 21-year-old David Burke, a local resident, in connection with the murder of Celeste Rivas. Authorities have confirmed he’s currently being held without bail. It’s a tragic situation, and my heart goes out to everyone affected.

I still can’t believe it. My idol, D4vd… they’ve accused him of murder. And not just that, but horrible things – abusing a child, and… and mutilating a body. The District Attorney’s office officially announced it today, April 20th, and honestly, I’m just devastated and completely shocked. It feels like a nightmare. I just… I don’t even know what to think anymore.

According to District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman, David Burke is accused of repeatedly sexually abusing Celeste when she was a child, under the age of 14. He further alleges that Burke then murdered Celeste when she threatened to reveal his crimes and harm his career. Burke is accused of dismembering her body, placing the remains in two bags, and storing them in his car’s trunk for over four months before they were discovered at a tow yard on September 8, 2025. District Attorney Hochman described the murder as horrific and gruesome, and vowed to secure justice for Celeste’s family.

The charges against D4vd also include aggravated circumstances: allegedly killing a witness, committing murder for money, and planning the attack in advance. Prosecutors also claim he used a dangerous weapon – a sharp object – during the crime.

D4vd’s lawyer refuted claims that he caused the woman’s death, stating in a statement to TopMob News on April 20th that they will strongly fight to prove his innocence.
