After almost 25 years as a major shooter game series, Battlefield may be expanding into a new area, like movies or TV shows. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this new project will involve some well-known actors and filmmakers.
Christopher McQuarrie, the creative force behind many of the memorable scenes in the Mission Impossible films, and Michael B. Jordan are in talks with major studios like Apple and Sony about a new project. McQuarrie is expected to write, produce, and direct, and Jordan may also produce and star. Electronic Arts is also likely to be involved as a producer.
Currently, we don’t know what the new movie will be about or if it will connect to any of the existing Battlefield games. What we do know is that it’s planned for a cinema release, which is perfect for experiencing the action and excitement a Battlefield film promises.
This project probably started because Battlefield 6 sold so well last year, and we seem to be getting a close look at how it develops, assuming everything goes as expected.
