Xbox Game Pass Users Are Scared How “Insanely Addictive” New Day One Game Is

Xbox Game Pass recently added several new games available on day one, and one in particular is already getting a lot of buzz. Subscribers are saying it’s incredibly addictive – some are even worried about how much they’re enjoying it! This isn’t too surprising, though, considering the developer’s last game was also famously addictive and kept players hooked for a long time.

I was checking out the Xbox Game Pass subreddit, and everyone’s been buzzing about Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard From Vampire Survivors. It came out on Xbox Series X, PC, and a bunch of other platforms back in April. Basically, it’s a spin-off of Vampire Survivors – you might remember that awesome indie hit from 2022. It’s made by the same team, Poncle, which is cool. It was added to Game Pass right away, and honestly, I’m seeing post after post about how unbelievably addictive it is. One of the top posts this week is just straight-up praise for the game!

New Xbox Game Pass Day One Game

The most popular comment on the post simply said, “Exactly what I was scared of,” proving the game is as captivating – and potentially time-consuming – as people predicted, much like the previous version. One commenter compared the game to a slot machine, highlighting how engaging it is.

Many players are really enjoying the game, with one saying it’s even more fun than Vampire Survivors and strikes a perfect balance. Another player admitted to playing all day, calling it incredibly addictive.

It’s not surprising the game has been so well-received, especially considering its near-perfect score on the Microsoft Store, where it costs $10. Typically, games available through Xbox Game Pass tend to have lower user review scores because they’re more easily accessible. However, this new game, available on Game Pass from day one, is actually one of the highest-rated Game Pass titles on the Microsoft Store as of 2026.

We don’t know how long the new game will be available on Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft typically doesn’t share that information upfront. However, as usual, Game Pass subscribers can purchase the game permanently with a 20% discount, bringing the price down from $10 to $8.

Just wanted to say, I’m always happy to hear what you guys think! Feel free to drop a comment or join the discussion on the ComicBook Forum – I love chatting with fellow fans there.
