Daredevil: Born Again is Officially Bringing Back a Criminally Underused MCU Villain

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again. Fans who were hoping to see more of a certain villain in Season 2 are in for a treat. Recent photos from the set of Season 3 reveal that this character will have a much larger role, and will be played by a different actor.

The character Muse played a relatively minor, but important, role in the latest season of Born Again. He was a serial killer who used his victims in his artwork, and he later became fixated on Heather Glenn, Matt Murdock’s girlfriend. This obsession led him to try and kill Heather, but she managed to escape with Daredevil’s assistance, ultimately shooting and killing Muse. Now, struggling with a mental breakdown and possessing Muse’s mask, Heather appears to be on a path to become the new version of her attacker.

It’s still uncertain how things will play out, but currently, the storyline closely resembles the comic books, particularly the way Muse’s ghost is pushing the new Lady Muse towards insanity. While the cause of Heather’s transformation into Muse might be the trauma she experienced, rather than Muse’s spirit directly attacking Morgan Whittier, the core themes are definitely similar.

Recent photos, combined with existing rumors about the upcoming season of Born Again, suggest some exciting possibilities. Theories include a surprising family connection between Daniel Blake and Wilson Fisk, and the potential end of Fisk’s time as mayor and criminal leader. However, he might even become an unexpected ally to Daredevil and Karen Page. Plus, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day still to come, the future remains open for Matt Murdock and his allies, and a lot could still happen.
